I never heard of this guy or never seen this guy before. However, this is an interesting video. He talks very well and I am surprised how we give lessons about future. It was very interesting that he talks about media and give various examples on it. I like how he communicates with audiences while he was talking. Through out this video, I knew he is very knowledgeble person and professional.

Great video the Super Bowl ad was a great Idea.

Gary Vaynerchuk’s speech is really attractive and emotive. From his speech, not only I feel the power of speech but also I learn that we human being have dramatically controlled our lives rather than the media controls our lives. From his speech, I really appreciate for his enthusiasm about the life that he is not scared of trying things and do not want to be despised by others. Because of his passion for life, he could overcome any of the life difficulty and gradually comes closer to his ideal life. It makes me consider that I should not lose every opportunity but just try. If I try more, I would be closer to my dream. In addition, the struggle is the most important thing that I should do for the rest of my life because I am so lucky to live in the digital era with multiple working opportunities. Simultaneously, if I struggle more and suffer more, I believe that my life would become more interesting and meaningful.

Student

This is the first time I have ever heard a Gary Vee speech, so I am not totally sure how I feel about his style yet. However, he is clearly extremely knowledgeable and knows how to make a point. I liked his emphasis on how people really need to get over their hate of social media - it's here to stay and it's only going to grow, we might as take this monumental opportunity to our advantage. Technology and marketing is constantly changing, we must educate ourselves on market trends and the next best thing - more importantly, how do I create that next best thing! Obtaining Hubspot certification was one of my five goals for this semester, so I will be looking into that very soon.

This was a very insightful video to watch from a future professionals point of view. the aspect of utilizing things like social media and how important they are I believe is something that kids our age already are aware of. We grew up with all of this technology for the most part so we have seen the change in use and we know just how often people are using it and why traditional forms or advertising are becoming more and more obsolete. The part that I found to be useful is the mentality aspect that he was talking about. We are aware of how useful this technology is while others are not. It is time for us as professionals to use out knowledge in order to succeed. We need to get on this before it is too late and this form becomes more and more expensive the same way that traditional marketing has become today. I really liked the overall message of this video and I believe I took something valueable away from it.

Gary Vee is a great speaker and I learn the inbound knowledge through his speaking. The most impressed thing is the way he is doing the speaking, that inspired me a lot because I didn't know how to make a great speech during the speaking and I will have BUS 250 in future which has a lot of persentation context. This video helps a lot.

After only seeing Gary on social media, it was very exciting to learn more about his background and what he does as a professional. I really enjoyed his views on the future of marketing and how social media is the future for cheap and effective marketing. After watching the video I’ve become very intrigued about the concept of inbound marketing and have even been reading up on it in my free time. The fact that Gary can so easily read trends and predict where the marketing world will go makes him a skilled marketer and a worthwhile keynote speaker.

I had never heard of Gary Vee before tonight and this is my first time seeing/hearing him speak. I think he not only really engages with his audience both in person and through the screen. He gave a lot of very useful information for not only those businesses but also students for their future. His own examples really make statements about how well inboun marketing works and how important it is for businesses in this day and age where everything and everyone is online. There was a lot I didn't know about inbound marketing that I learned through this, and interested me in looking into it more. He really swore a lot though which through me off.

Student

I really enjoyed watching this video. Gary Vee’s enthusiasm is contagious and intriguing to his audience. I appreciated his back story and how he used it to prove several points throughout the speech. I also respect the way that he pushes comfort boundaries with his audience. It’s interesting how he brings up that we are living in the biggest communication era change since the printing press because he is completely right. I agree with him about his point on self awareness and how this is the most important thing that we can do as individuals. My favorite thing that he said was how important it is to him about how people make their money and not how much they’re making. I think this is a very important concept that people in society today don’t care enough to grasp. There is this motive around making money and people are doing it in any way that they can. People aren’t thinking about if what they do day to day really makes them proud of themselves.

Gary Vee had a lot of good content in his speech. He did a great job of summarizing the increasing importance of understanding digital advertising. It was especially eye-opening when he mentioned how you're putting yourself at a disadvantage if you're not on social media, from both a personal and professional standpoint. It's true: communication has fundamentally changed and it's never going to return to the way it was, so it's critical to keep up with the changing times. He also touched on how television commercials are now becoming obsolete. I've always wondered why so many companies spend huge amounts of money to air a television commercial when the majority of watchers either skip through commercials, or watch television via a streaming service such as Hulu or Netflix. I can't remember the last time I saw a television commercial. Overall this speech was informative, relateable and interesting, and I will recommend it to my others in advertising and marketing!

Student

I've never heard of Gary Vee prior to seeing this video, but this presentation really motivated me to look into him. He has analyzed the shift of technology and media in this generation and has taken a path to educate others about these impacts. He points out a lot of things behind the curtain. He speaks about passion and practical risks in life. Even though he is really young, he has a lot of wisdom and business knowledge in the real world. Everytime he curses he talks the honest truth and I respect that about him. He reminds me a lot of George Carlin. Thank you for showing me this guy.

This was a very interesting video. It's clear to see that he is very passionate about what he's talking about. I think his energy makes his presentation very interesting and inspirational. He's been successful and knows how to help others get to the level he's at. He made a bunch of great points and I can see why he's had the success that he has had over the years. This was the first video of his that I've seen and I'm definitely going to check out some more of his videos.

I was truly inspired by Gary Vee's conference speech. His background and family story about how he was a foreigner and how his grandparents were Jewish was super interesting to hear about since my dad came to America when he was young as well and had become a naturalized citizen. I love his enthusiasm, energy, and his swearing I'm sure is what keeps the audience (and of course many of us in this class) engaged. I loved when he mentioned how we are in the latest era of communication change we've ever seen, which is so true and we need to be taking advantage of this time. I also absolutely loved how he focuses on discussing self-awareness with all of us, he mentioned how he felt so lucky to have had self-awareness at such a young age, which had helped him to bet on his strengths and what he wanted to do to inspire and pose on others. He talked about how as an immigrant he had a major advantage, felt extremely lucky because of it, and was so honored to work hard and earn his success, but most importantly he figured out how he wanted to impact others in the world and actually have a purpose because of his self-awareness. What an awesome speech.

Student

I really enjoyed listening to Gary's speech not only because of the information he provided but also because of his relatablity. The way he spoke was captivating and audience oriented and he spoke about issues that a lot of people endure. For instance, I really appreciated how he discussed that you are the person who has the capability to make a change in your life. You can come from nothing and succeed. You do not have to let your failures or your short comings bring you down. He was very inspirational and it made it easier to watch and really connect with his message. I was able to understand an indepth look into Inbound Marketing because I enjoyed hearing Gary explain it from his point of view. It was easy to understand and relatable.

Student

Gary Vaynerchuk is an awesome motivational speaker and additionally has a lot of life lessons to teach everyone.  He is a great example of working hard to reach your goals.  He makes everyone realize the shift of technology and innovation is an amazing way for us to move forward with marketing and advertising instead of being hating the increase in technoloby because it's not going to reverse.

Student

I really like this speech, and i also liek Gary Vee's style. his speech is very attractive. Honestly, I usually do not like to watch such speeches because I often think they are boring. But his speech is very organized and able to render the atmosphere of the speech in a simple manner. And he spoke very clearly it could made people feel very comfortable. Through this speech, I can arouse a lot of thinking and thinking about things that I have never thought of before. I think it is meaningful.

Student

I greatly enjoyed Gary's keynote, and thought it was very enthusiastic and informing. It's long enough that you won't lose attention, and clear enough to get the point across. This is the first time I've gotten to check out any of his work, and I was greatly amused. It makes me want to get my inbound marketing certification.

Student

I've been following Gary Vee for a couple years now, so it was no surprise to see him give an awesome speech. I think his words go far beyond marketing or business advice into the relm of motivational advice. His sheer fervor is enough to motivate me. When I listen to Gary speak I am rarely listening for some small tid bit about inbound marketing. Instead, I'm listening for his unique perspective on business and everything business touches. Gary likes to speak in broad terms and I think this is a result of his success in the business world. While this speech might be generally about inbound marketing, it's much more than that. It is a chance to see how a succesful entrepeneur thinks and how he uses the tools set before him. In this way, Gary sets himself apart from other lecturers.

Student

Gary Vee's speech was very inspirational. I liked this video a lot. I liked that he touched on self-awareness and stressed the importance of knowing who you are and knowing what your strengths are. Having a lot of self-esteem is vastly importance to your sucess, it's crucial to understand and realize how important you are and how important the work you produce is. I also liked the bit where he mentioned that no matter who our president is - or what the state of politics in our country is - we are still able to do whatever we want with our lives and make our own choices for ourselves, regardless of what the media may try and make us believe. This was very refreshing to hear. All in all he led a great discussion on the changing ways of communication in the world. This speech was thought-provoking indeed!

Student

I really liked listening to Gary's speech, he knows how to draw an audience in. I actually had never heard of inbound marketing prior to this week and am very happy we learned about it. I run my own small online business so I am going to be using this for my own business to help it succeed. I also found the part where he talked about business' needing to use all media platforms to be very important as I have learned this myself. The only place I don't have my business on is Twitter (and probably never will), but once I even explored snapchat my sales increased. Very interesting lecture!

Student

Gary Vee's presentation was really informative and helped me get a new perspective on inbound marketing. His passion for the topic was very noticeable and he was able to get his point across in an effective way. He made me realize that we do have more control than we think and it's our responsibility to take control of our lives. Also, building awareness is an important aspect of marketing to clients as well as the healthy balance between marketing, sales and branding. This is why Facebook is such a powerful tool for businesses to use in the digital world.

Student

What first stood out in Gary Vee's presentation is that we either go on the offensive or the defensive in our current state of technology. This is a fence I need to get off of. I'm not a fan of social media for my personal self and I try to avoid using technology too often. I work as a copywriter and run social medias for local businesses so I do understand how to utilize it professionally. However, I realize more and more that my 'defensive' qualities put me at a disadvantage. The fact is: When running social medias for my employers, I would create better suited content if I understood my audience better and was a social media user as well.

Student

In this video, I learned lots of useful knowledge about Hubspot from Gary Vee. Inbound marketing is focused on attracting customers through relevant and helpful content and adding value at every stage in your customer's buying journey. With inbound marketing, potential customers find you through channels like blogs, search engines, and social media. Unlike outbound marketing, inbound marketing does not need to fight for potential customers attention. By creating content designed to address the problems and needs of your ideal customers, you attract qualified prospects and build trust and credibility for your business.

Student

After watching the video, I really love Gary Vaynerchuk's speech. To be honest, I really care about what kind of person I would be in the future, I always think about what will happen in my future. I mean I may not really care about what kind of job or I earn my money in what kind of way, I prefer to choose to be a person I want to be in the future. Some of his mind and ideas are kind crazy, but I respect him. Everyone has their title to become the person they want, therefore I will always do the things I think they are right.

Student

This was a very entertaining video to watch! I love Gary Vaynerchuk's excitement and enthusiasm when speaking about marketing. I especially liked how he explained that we are in 100% control of our own destiny and cannot be controlled by what the media puts out. Gary shows his passion through his style of presenting which I believe helps the audience stay alert and listen.

Student

I love this video and Gary’s enthusiasm. I think that he has a lot of light to shed on how important inbound marketing can be to us. I like the way he talks about being self aware and knowing what you want. He is really good at convincing his audience to look at life from a different perspective. I think he makes a good point when he says that we need to stop focusing on things that we can’t control. That’s something I struggle with in life and when I really sit down and think about it, I think cutting out those thoughts that I fear would better me as a person. We need to stop being scared and go for what we want with all that we have.

Student

I absolutely love Gary Vee's enthusiasm and passion during this video! He is incredibly straightforward, blunt, and honest throughout the talk, making it really easy to listen and grasp everything he's trying to get through to you. He's very skilled in and passionate about his career path, which is clearly shown in this video as he tells stories, and gives compelling advice about the digital media marketing world.

Gary V. is an indiviudal whose success story is one that is capable of teaching so much and still apllies to the world today. I have seen multiple videos of his over the years, in many of my different business classes. Each time I have learned something different. Or its added a different layer to the way I think about success and industry overall. He's absoluetly right when he says the old style of email marketing just doesn't work. People don't care, and to be heard today, the consumer has to want to be reached. Hubspot is one of those learning tools that can be a platform for skill development and its essential for matters such as these. The winners are the ones that go above and beyond whats necessary, and thats the main message he has delivered to me overall after all this time.

Student

Gary Vee is hilarious. I love his enthusiasm and his ability to be brief, concise, and clear. He has no problem telling it like it is and I relate to that a lot. I agree with his viewpoints on most things and did not know he even spoke at the Hubspot conference. His enthusiasm about inbound marketing makes me glad that I earned the inbound certification.

Student

Gary Vees enthusiasm for this topic is amazing. I liked his pledge not to send bulk messages on LinkedIn, I get these from recruiters and it only strikes me as insincere and immediatly gets deleted.

Student

Gary Vee's energy is unmatched, I have a feeling if I could be that passionate about everything I am doing now I can one day be as rich as him! I always learn something valuabe from hearing a lecture or quote from him.

Student

Actually, I don't care about how can I earn money; instead, I do care about who I am. I like the video and his speech. He is a crazy guy but attractive. He can find things different than others and know exactly what he wants. I should learn from him! I will share this video with my friends.

Student

Gary Vaynerchuck is a nut. I love the guy. I remember watching a thing where he said he only sleeps like 4 hours a night and I love how crazy driven he is. I don't ever want to be that crazy about money and success, but good on him if it makes him happy. He's a definite example for putting in work to get what you want

Student

I have seen Gary Vaynerchuk on some Facebook posts that people have shared and I really like the guy and think he is very inspirational and an excellent speaker. He does a great job in capturing the audience and keeping them wired in. He doesn't only deliver inspirational quotes but he is very knowledgeable on the subject matters of which he talks about including internet marketing and content building. With inbound marketing getting more popular, he is telling people to act now and fimilarize yourself with it so you can better the use of it in the future. He explained well on how to create the content based on different platforms and target audiences. He tends to give me a different perspective on how to look at things and I really think that I have learned a good amount from him. I would say the one thing I think he does best at is keeping a posotive outlook at things which I think is one of the most important things to remember.

Student

I didnt see the email from Tuesday saying we could comment on old blog post for participation or see this post when I turned in the assignment for the week. I am really glad this blog post was made though. I found the video to be very intersting and inspiring. I really enjoyed how natural and authenitic Gary Vee was on stage. He was enjoyable to watch. He also brought up a lot of thought provoking points. I think his points about facebook videos being very sucessful are extremely accurate. I watch Facebook videos just baout everyday, currently I may see one or two ads. I have sometimes even clicked on the ads that I found interesting. Marketers should really look to get more involved with the social media platforms.

I also liked the point about not passing work on to younger people, and that you personally should always be the best, or most knowledgable. Sometimes there are answers I dont know and I jsut want to take the easy route and pass it on or not do it. Gary brought up a good point that you can learn anything you want because of the internaet and we should take advantage of that and be the best that we absoluetly can.

I really enjoyed this video and am looking forward to next weeks!

Student

He really sheds an interesting light on the idea that we have so much control on our own lives. That night was very sad for my but to be honest I have’t really been personally affected by the winner. Although i think he ignores that some people genuinely are largely affected by things like taxes and medical issues. But his view point is still enlightening. We do have a lot of self control and power when we are self aware. His points on how people who aren’t able to learn how to use social media and marketing tools are just giving a cop out, he’s right, its not that hard! Especially if it will help your work. He seems to be really smart and have interesting view points, good watch!(Comment for Lesson 7)

Student

I love this video because it transfers positive information for us. I like the sentence he said in the video "what I implore you to do is spend a hell of a lot less time worried about other things that will impact you and spend a lot more time to figure out who you actually are, what are you actually good at". I agree with him and I think the most important thing to a person is to find the position of himself or herself. I would like to focus on what I actually want to do instead of other people want me to do.

Student

I'm pretty salty at this point because I decided to use my one dropped grade for this week's assignment. After seeing this content, and seeing that there is a certification to be gotten by hubspot, I think I am going to go back in and do some semi "self-directed learning" to learn about inbound marketing and get the certification.

Student

I enjoyed this weeks blog very much as I have previously viewed content from Gary Vaynerchuk. I find him to be a very charismatic and engaging speaker. His story about how he made his money is one that is not far reality, which makes it so captivating. My father is also an immagrant in the country from South Korea and his views on living in America parallel that of Vaynerchuk's, in that it is a blessing in itself to be living in a country with so much opportunity. When he speaks on broader topics in this specific video, I like how he explains the evolution of ICT's and essentiality points out the fact that if you do move forward with the times you will be left in the dust.

Student

First and foremost I LOVE Gary V, I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea with his extreme ego and energy. But his points are insanely valuable and inspiring. I love that he says to not be fancy and how to utilize social media this day and age. Another aspect I always find marvelling about Vaynerchuk is his ability to captivate an audience seamlessly. I also dig that he says we essentially are able to impact our lives without relying on the media and their efforts to control us. That is mindblowing and incredibly true, Gary V for Prez 2k20 :) haha

Student

I enjoyed the examples that Gary gave about inbound marketing, and the best and worst platforms to go after. I liked when he mentioned about us being "fancy" and how people these days aren't willing to give up even a little of what they have, whether it's material stuff or a lifestyle, to be able to invest in something that will benefit them more in the future. Because of this, people don't grow their companies because they don't take the risks, especially when it comes to losing something they already have. Another point that Gary said that I liked was that you need to invest in the best platform(s) that can reach your customers. Many companies go for the cheapest advertising platform, or the easiest to get a hold of, but most likely those advertising platforms will not show results and end up being a waste of money.

Student

I think this is an interesting video. Gary Vaynerchuk Keynote has talked about many things about the inbound marketing. He draws a really important point for marketing which is to obsess others attention. I totally agree with that because if you cannot let others notice your ads, then any incredibly creative ads would be ignored.  He mentioned about the overprice of marketing and he provides an example which is Twitter and banner ads on the website. I also think these two things are not really popular on inbound marketing for now.

Student

This video was awesome. Gary Vee is a very captivating speaker and is great at keeping the audiences attention and focus the entire time he is on stage. He makes some really excellent points about Inbound Marketing and marketing to consumers in the new wave and age and focusing heavily on social media and social marketing. He describes that entrepreneurs and business people have a responsibility to take things into their own hands and even politics cant stand in the way. I am currently working on getting certified, but found that the process is much more lengthy then I originally thought. I felt that it would really be beneficial for this class and also for my professional career and lots of employeers find it as a great addition to my resume.

Student

This speech really helps me understand inbound marketing more a little bit because I was really consused when I do the reading and assessment. And Gary Vee is a very good speaker too! He really knows how to get autiences' attention and he can explain things very clearful and I really enjoy the video while I was watching it!

Student

I found this video very interesting and enjoyed watching the whole thing. This guy is a great speaker too and says a lot of true things. Inbound marketing is truly growing and is the next big thing. Right now I am working on becoming Inbound certified and I have learned a lot so far. Because I work and have class it has been taking longer than I expected, but I am almost done. I feel like knowing these things are important and can put you over the edge when applying for a job too.

Student

Gary Vee’s speech really impressed me. I learn not only inbound marketing but also self-awareness. He is an inspirational speaker and knows how to draw audiences’ attention. The words and phrases he used are simple and precise which makes this video attracting. I especially love the practical experiences and examples in the video. This video gave me a clearer understanding of inbound marketing.

Student

I think this really helped me to understand inbound marketing a little bit more than the readings and assignments did.  Like I get what inbound marketing is and how to do it, but what should those sucessful and intriguing marketing strategies look like.  I think I am still struggling to visualize these apporpriately because I had never heard of these things until this week.  I think as the semester finishes up, I will more.

Student

Gary Vee makes some greats points through this speach. First of all, he is a great speaker in general and can captivate an audience with great success. His material while speakeing is very entlightening as well. He talks greatly about the importance of social media in advertising today and in the future. He speaks to the importance of companies spending time and resouces to have relatable content within these platforms of social media in order to attract and gain potential customers attetnion.
