MSU Spring Break

ADV 420 Class - Enjoy your spring break! You should have all turned in your mid-term exams already, and your next assignment is not due till March 13.

As you know in addition to teaching ADV 420 at Michigan State Unviversity, I run a Fan enagement startup called Fantelope. We don't have MSU signed up yet, but hope to for next year, so keep an eye out.

Yesterday we had an event at the University of Detroit Titans. It was a Metro Series pep rally, soccer game, and it finished with Hoop Night in the D. We had some cool Titans Pride t-shirts to giveaway and we put them on the Fantelope app for 50 points.

Lululemon's Innovative use of Online Advertising

Lululemon’s online advertising has been extremely successful and have used a lot of innovative online marketing methods to further their awareness and sales. Advertising campaigns now-a-days should be using all methods of online advertising in order to become more successful. At this point in today's world, online activity has only been increasing and all social media platforms should be used by a brand to target their audience. Because of this turn towards social media platforms, I would advise against spending too much money and effort into display advertising.

Analysis of the Internet Usage of Walmart

The brand that I selected from the brand Google Spreadsheet was Walmart. I went through their website as well as signed up for their Email list. I also followed the brand in most of its social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube. It fascinated me that Walmart was able to get many followers in most of its social media accounts. The new theme for Walmart is "Save Money, Live Better".
