Facebook Live's exciting potential

Have you tried Facebook Live yet?

Chances are, you've watched a Facebook Live video or two. This technology is extremely exciting and holds the potential to reshape the media industry. How?

Fan Engagement Experiment

As you know in addition to teaching ADV 420 at Michigan State Unviversity, I run a Fan enagement startup called Fantelope. We don't have MSU signed up yet, but hope to for next year, so keep an eye out.

Yesterday we had an event at the University of Detroit Titans. It was a Metro Series pep rally, soccer game, and it finished with Hoop Night in the D. We had some cool Titans Pride t-shirts to giveaway and we put them on the Fantelope app for 50 points.

Lululemon's Innovative use of Online Advertising

Lululemon’s online advertising has been extremely successful and have used a lot of innovative online marketing methods to further their awareness and sales. Advertising campaigns now-a-days should be using all methods of online advertising in order to become more successful. Both campaigns used Twitter to fact check their opponents, retweet supporters (or posts criticizing their opponents), and share important quotes from the debate.

Expect more. Pay less. The Target Way of Doing Things

Who is Target?

As a company Target seems to have it all; from clothes to beauty products and laundry detergent to groceries. Target has evolved in many ways since opening its doors in 1902 in Minneapolis, MN where it was founded as a dry goods store. Since the beginning the focus of the store was giving back, which it continues to do everyday. This quote from the founder really explains what Target is all about,

Pokemon Go

So what is all this fuss about with Pokemon Go? Is it a fad, or is it here to stay? All I know is people are walking all over Ann Arbor playing this game.

I do feel it's a breakthrough in technology and the VR experience. Who needs goggles when you can find Pokemon easily through your phone.

How do you feel about Pokemon Go? What does it's immediate success say for the digital marketing space we operate in? What can we learn from it?
