This coming week is the big game between Michigan State and Michigan. Anyone going to the game? We've had some great games with Michigan, winning many over the last years. This year it's gonna be a battle.
We've been working to get more fans on Fantelope to follow MSU and get credit and prizes for using Fantelope to post their social media. You can earn points for sharing on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. And for checking in to watch the game.
If you have a minute to download and give Fantelope a test I'd love to hear your feedback on our app. We only have an iPhone version, so no Android. But if you have an iphone go download Fantelope and see what an MVP product feels like, Minimum Viable Product. I would value your feedback in the comments.
If you don't have time to download the app I'd be curious to hear your plans for the Big Game, or share an experience you've had in watching MSU sports since you've been a student. Go Green!

I am from Ann Arbor, so this weekend I will be down in Ann Arbor tailgating with some of my friends from high school. I am excited to see them because it has been a few months since I saw some of them, and for others that will be there it's been years since I saw them. I think MSU has a chance to win this game, so I am going to see if I can find a ticket to get into the stadium.
The last time MSU played at UM I was at the game in the UM student section. The fumbled punt was returned right in front of me, and that is the craziest 30 seconds of my life. All the UM fans around me were going crazy, and then it was just silence. It was so awesome seeing those UM fans completely stunned. Plus watching the most crazy game winner ever was pretty cool, espcially since MSU did it to beat our biggest rival.
The Michigan State vs U of M game is not only a huge game for the two schools but is a rivalry between my family. I have a very large family from the east coast and our family is just as into where we go to college as we are. Unfortunatly my cousin Ty goes to University of Michigan and it started a huge team rivalry between the family. For the game this weekend I'm going down to Ann Arbor to tailgate with my friends and cousin. Unfortunatly I will also be responding to countless texts from my fired up Aunts and Uncles about every step of the game. Although it can get annoying this rivalry brings our family together even when I'm all the way out in Michigan. I cannot wait to hopefully beat Michigan and have bragging rights when I head home for thanksgiving.
I had only seen American football on TV before coming to MSU, so being able to see it in real life has been quite the experience. I love the atmosphere on the stadium, the unconditional support from fans, the many chants from the student section and the constant performance from the dancers and cheerleaders. Mostly though, I like to learn about the game, the more I understand the game, the more I like it. I will not be attending the MSU vs. MU game this weekend though, as the prices are rather high but I would have loved to go tailgating there, as I am sure the rivalry between the two universities will create a ton of buzz. In terms of the app, I unfortunately have an Android phone, thus I have not been able to experience the app myself but I have recommended to my sport fanatic friends, who seem to like it.
I think it is interesting that you hadn't seen american football until coming to msu. Before college I had only seen professional football games and to be honest college games, especially in the student section are a lot more fun than any professional football games i've been too! I also HIGHLY suggest coming to U of M and tailgating it is an amazing time.
MSU vs U of M weekend is always a blast, I won't be here for the game this weekend so I will not be celebrating!
I am very excited about the football game betwwen MSU vs U of M every year. I have never gone to the Ann Arbor to see the MSU away game, so I am going to stay at home and watch the game with my friends. I mean every year's game between MSU vs U of M is fantastic, people are very excited and the game is always amazing such as the game in 2015. I really love the MSU's sports culture, when we are having any sports event, all of the MSU people are like a big family; and the biggest moment of the event is when we yelling :" Go Green! Go White!".
I love MSU's football. I watched every single game of MSU. If you recall, the most memorial game is Michigan State Vs. Michigan. I thought we were going to lose the game. However, we got luck on that day. Sparty gave the luck to Spartans!
Let me remind you this:↓↓↓
I am very excited about the Michigan game next weekend. Even though I don't have tickets, I will probably go to Ann Arbor to tailgate and watch the game with my friends. I was traveling during last year's Michigan game, but I went to the one on 2015 when we won at the last second and it was amazing.
I also downloaded the app and recommended it to a couple friends that are obsessed with sports. I try to attend sporting events every time I get the chance, so the app seems great to me.
This year, my friends and I are actually traveling to Ann Arbor to see the game. I've never gone to any of Michigan States away games, so I'm super excited to be able to experience something like this. Maybe I'll witness a play as crazy as the one two years ago at Michigan! I am a little nervous about the outcome of this game after that Notre Dame loss. Luckily, us Michigan State fans are good sports and will still manage to have a great day whether we win or lose. Which is one of the main reasons I love this school so much, the environment at Michigan State is always so welcoming and happy!
The MSU vs U of M weekend always makes me nervous and excited. I will be in Boston this weekend so I won't be able to attend the game but I've already scoped out a MSU bar that I'll be watching the game from! Of course the game last year was a great experience but Michael Geiger's game winning field goal against Ohio State is up there as well.
I am so pumped for the Michigan vs. Michigan State game! My family and I are going to the game and staying in one of the suites. Coming from a family that has always loved U of M they have been to many games, but not me. This will be my first time going to a Michigan game. In secret, I will cheer for MSU, but for the risk that I might get yelled at I will be wearing a team-neutral shirt. I did have a chance to download the app. I thought it was easy to use and to navigate through as well. I think it is a cool idea and I like the prizes and especially Starbucks! I also liked how it had the school I played Division II college soccer at!
Like many others, my favorite MSU sports experience was the U of M game from two years ago. I remember being so upset that we were losing and I truly couldn't believe my eyes when we scored and ended up winning. I was with my family and we were all screaming, crying and running around the house. It was an amazing moment that I will never forget! As far as Fantelope goes, I thought it was very user friendly. I like that the points and prizes tabs both had explanations under them, because I think that's essential for new users. I did wonder what the overall purpose was though. Is it simply to earn prizes for posting about your team or the app on social media? That's how I interpreted it. Other than that, I didn't notice any issues!
At first I didn't actually get the usage of this app, after I saw the prizes option I found out that we can earn points by sharing our favorite teams on social media, and when I reach the certain level of points I'm able to exchange the points for prizes like gift cards and even an Iphone 8. Well frankly I perveive this app sorta of single-functional(correct me if I'm wrong), and some minor flaw for instance, it's important to perfect the picture size of those prizes in terms of the consistency.
If I had any phone storage to spare, I'd totally check out the app!
The Michigan State vs. Michigan game is always my favorite game of the season. This year, I think I'm going to go to Ann Arbor to tailgate and watch the game with some friends. I went to the game 2 years ago, when we won in the last few seconds, so I'm pretty sure I might be their good luck charm...
Go Green!!
I am certainly excited for the MSU vs. U of M game, as I always am when these two schools face off. I plan on travelling to Ann Arbor to tailgate and stay with a friend of mine. I think my favorite memory is of course the year MSU won by a last-second fumbled punt return. I was watching the game in my friend's fraternity and was almost asleep when the play happened. Our cheers were quickly contended by my friend's fraternity brothers and we quickly left as we felt we were in danger while behind enemy lines.
I hope to see a game that is as contentious as that year. Go State!
I had never been to a football game before because I'm from China and Chinese doesn't play football game at all, so it is an different culture for us. I remember when I was an freshmen, living in Holden Hall, I was doing my homework at that night. Sunddenly I heard lots of people screaming and I didn't the reason at that time. My friends talked about that screaming at next day and it is because our team won the game by a final hit at that night. That must be crazy and exciting to won a game with final hit. I knew that our team is really good at foorball game and win a lot. I believe I will go to watch a footbal game at future and enjoy the different culture.
I am very excited for the Michigan State v. Michigan game this weekend. I am not going to the game based off the high priced tickets. Instead me and my friends are going to watch the game here in East Lansing. I think the Fantelope app is a cool way to earn points and get prizes while posting about things that you normally post about. I think it is a good way to find other sports fans and to interact with them.
As much as I love watching the MSU football games from the student section, I have been busy working every Saturday during football season the past three years. So, the last time I went to a Spartan football game was my freshman year, when I had season tickets. My favorite game was definitely the MSU vs U of M game, because my godfather (whom is an MSU alum and die hard football fan), flew up to Michigan from Florida to see the game and tailgate. He brought his good friends from our hometown up to tailgate with him, and invited me along as well. It was a good experience, because it showed me just how powerful the pride and spirit that MSU's students and alumni have.
I'm very very hype for this weekend for both the game and the weekend overall. I love this specific weekend every year because me and all my buddies from UofM get to reunite and catch up while I also get to root on my Spartans harder than I do any other game all year.
Best memory of watching MSU sports since being a student is easily my freshman year (2 years ago) when we beat Michigan at the last second, I was with my at-the-time gf in her dorm room who goes to Michigan and it was quite rewarding to go out into the halls and yell go green right when it happened.
I am very excited for the big game this weekend. I have always been a big Michigan State fan, even before attending MSU. My parents are both big Michigan fans. My father even refuses to wear green because he doesn't want to show his favorite teamany disrespect. When going through the app I found some confusion on the homepage. I would like to click on and view the teams that I have selected. Other than that I like the set up of the app and the options that it gives me. It is cool that you can win real prizes for supporting teams that you like. A great concept!
Like any student, the Spartan Football team has a special place in my heart, but my favorite MSU sports memory was a men's soccer game my freshman year. Though the crowd was smaller and atmosphere less impressive, the student section had so much heart and passion for the game. With painted faces and unique chants, it was the first time I saw a real community around a smaller sport at MSU and I loved seeing the commraderie. It made me excited to get involved at the university and make it home for the next 4 years.
After reviewing the website of Fantelope, I found that the design of the apps was really good. I love the orange coloring and the clear description on apps. I am passionate about our university football games because it is the only sports every student at MSU may concern. Also, the popular sports are also shown on the Fantelope which can provide the sports fans to see what happens. It also collects the sports fans together.
I attended the game yesterday and there is something about the atmosphere of Spartan Stadium, I just wish this next game could be played there. I was in band in high school so I always get to the games early and stay late to enjoy the band, having the alumni band there yesterday was a real treat. I downloaded the app, but I don't see the posts I've shared, did I do it correctly? I plan on watching the game with my family at home with some appetizers and good company. We are a family divided so it's always entertaining to watch the big game together. My boyfriend and I are big hockey fans so we are tryign to make it to the green and white game coming up on Wednesday and have tickets to about 5 games a year.
Usually I am not a game person but I still download the app because I really care about MSU Vs. UM and it is interesting to use it. I am not sure if I am gonna to go to the game next Saturday because some of my friends are planning to go to North Michigan. But me and my roommate are already get excited about the game. I knew we lost last year but it is not gonna to happen this Year. And when I was a freshman I went to the game for the first night I really did enjoy it. It was a very amazing experience and I was proud for our team.
Go White!
I transfered to Michigan State last year and was so excited to finally go to a 'football school'. Anyone I told that I was going to be a spartan just raved about how incredible the games are in spartan stadium. Especially the MSU- Michigan games everyones spirit comes out on those game days more than usual. It's amazing to see the school come together as a whole with current students, parents, alumni and just plain old fans who love these teams. It's an experience that every spartan fan waits patiently for every year. I am making the trek to Ann Arbour this weekend and cannot wait for the rivalry to come alive on saturday. I better see more green than blue this weekend! I like the look to Fantelope and the explanation page is good, very direct and not confusing. I wish the app had an explanation pop up when you first open the app I think that would be helpful in explaining what fanelope is and not just the point system.
I had never seen football game before I came to the United States, and I was surprised how American love and are crazy about football game. Not until last Saturday, did I find out that football is an exciting and fascinating sport. I watched my first football game in Spartan stadium last Saturday. In the end of the game, Michigan State held on for a 17-10 victory over Iowa. It was a nice game, and I was shouting almost whole time of the game. It felt so great when I saw our team touched down or defended successfully. The crowd was going wild and so was I!! I am glad that I experienced the football game before I graduate from MSU. For the coming big game between Michigan State and Michigan, I hope Michigan State can get victory!! Victory for MSU!! GO GREEN!!
I unfortunately have an Android, so I’m unable to download Fantelope app. But I am attending the MSU vs. UofM game this coming up weekend. I have never been to a MSU football game; this coming up weekend will be my first. I’m extremely excited to see the Spartans up-close and personal on the field instead of behind a TV screen. But most of all, I’m excited to see the Spartans kick some Wolverine butt! I have watched on TV the past two previous years of this particular rivalry football game, but I’m sure the experience of being in the crowd will be like no other. I plan to take a party bus there and see some friends I know who attend Michigan and then watch the victory (hopefully) and take the party bus back to East Lansing. The only other MSU sport I have seen in person is MSU soccer, and I have to say the games have been very enjoyable and exciting, despite soccer not being my favorite sport in general to watch. The crowd for the two soccer games I’ve been to were quite small, so the experience of being in a huge crowd for the football game should be one to remember!
Michigan vs. Michigan State weekend is always my favorite weekend during the football seasons. As a kid I loved watching these games because of the history these two teams share. Two years ago I was able to witness, in person, the last second blocked punt play. That play will live with me forver and might be my greatest memory of all time. This weekend I will be going back to Ann Arbor with my four friends and I. We all will be staying at our buddies house, so I am really looking forward to that. It is always a great time when all the friends get together and I am sure it will be another fun time with the boys. Even though MSU football is not as great as it was a few years back I think this game will still be close just because it is a rivalry game.
The Michigan State - Michigan game two years ago was euphoric for me. I remember watching it in my living room with my parents and getting ready to turn off the TV towards the end, but in the spirit of being good sports, we felt like it was only right to stick through the whole game. When they returned the blocked punt, we were screaming in our living room, not that we really are diehard MSU fans or anything, but it was just one of those sports plays that had the instant feeling of being a classic moment that will rerun on ESPN as long as the network is around. On top of that, I had the good fortune of going to high school with Jalen Watts-Jackson, the player who returned the blocked punt. It was cool to see a friend receive so much love from MSU. This is by no way me trying to name drop, though I'm sure it will come across that way to some, but it was cool to see someone you know do such an exceptional thing and bring joy to so many MSU football fans. I was really happy for him and everyone else who has probably been berated by Michigan fans at some point in this rivalry.
I always love when the Michigan State vs. Michigan game comes around. I think it's really interesting and exciting to watch each team show their school spirit. I downloaded the app and I think that it creates a really cool dynamic to gameday, earning points for different check-in's, posts or tweets! I think that the prizes are a good incentive for people to get on the app and start using it more frequently. I'm so excited to watch the game this upcoming weekend and root for the Spartans! I'm hoping to go down to Michigan this upcoming weekend and be a part of the excitement.
Going for a football game, was a part of the whole package of coming to MSU. I had no idea what a game of american football was. I knew WHAT it was, but I had no idea what the rules were, etc. in my first semester here, my roommate, who was American, dragged me for a game. It was MSU vs BYU. A game that was supposed to be an easy win for MSU. Boy, were we corrected later! So there I was, in the stands, shivering in the bitter Michigan cold, despite wearing a sweater and jacket. I watched as they started with national anthem and then the parade. I could see men standing shirtless in that horrible November cold. As the game started, I had no idea what was happening. I did not know where we were scoring, where they were. But the sheer electric atmosphere there was what made this game memorable for me. People singing the figh song, the cheers, the booing, the fun everyone was having. MSU lost, but I remember this game for an experience of a lifetime.
I downloaded the app and it looks really good. I don't think I'm enough of a sports nut to ever win any prizes (not really a sports nut at all), but I do love my Spartans and intend to post that day! My daughter's homecoming dance is that night so the bulk of my evening will be getting her ready for that. While she's at the dance I will definitely be watching the game, I'm just not sure where. I hope they have a screen set up at the dance or they can expect a low turn out of boys! Go Green!
I feel like the Michigan v. Michigan state game is just one of those events everyone in Michigan looks forward to every year. Even more so if you're a student, and if you're like me it's on your calendar. This year me and my girlfriend are attending a music festival that just so happens to be on the same day as the big game. So we already have it planned out to have it streaming on our phones and get sports center updates as they happen so we dont miss a thing while we're enjoying the concert. I have had so much fun the games I've attended at Spartan stadium, just seeing my fellow spartans cheering for our team is a sight to see espically the sea of green and white. Although it was hard to be in the stands this past weekend when the Irish visited...but we'll be back! And I'm sure the wolverines will have quite a fight on their hands.
Also, I downloaded the Fantelope app and I can't wait to use it and tell my friends. We go to sporting events often and this is just the type of light hearted competition we love. I'm sure my girlfriend will be a fan of it as well. I like the personalization of being able to set your favorite teams and add a profile picture of yourself. I look forward to using it in the future and will absolutely shout it out on my social media. Even more so If I'm the one with the most points out of my friends.
The MSU v. Michigan game is always a fun one (even for people, like me, who don't follow sports)!
I've done game day in Ann Arbor twice for the tailgate experience and it's always insanity. I had no idea college football games could be a reason to cease cell phone service ...until arriving, shamefully lost, and having no way to contact the friends I was there to meet. It was a maize blur!
This year, I will probably go to the Nuthouse in Lansing. I can usually post up at a pool table and have some fun with friends, food, and drinks. Go Green!

MSU's football culture has alwasy been one of a kind. The commitment from the fans and the eagerness to participate in every cheer and song really makes the game worth while. Lately because our teams winning record has dramatically changed the MSU football experience hasn't exactly been the same.I will be attending the game and I am excited that it is a night game so that might make the atmosphere a little more intriguing.I am also interested too see how many MSU fans will make the travel to Ann Arbor for the game. Michigan's " Big House" stadium sets record for college football game attendance with their following alone. Lets see if MSU will have real representation there too!
