Michigan State Spartans Football Victory in Ann Arbor

As time goes on my answer to Michigan fans will always be the same: "Champions find a way to win!"

For my question - Is it a good idea to title your marketing emails without including your brand name? Does it establish trust or is it seen as fooling your customer into clicking and reading?

I have recieved emails that were not originally seen as promotional because they did not include an affiliate in the title, only to later realize that it was promotional material. I percieved it as trickery and kind of sleezy. Do marketers agree?

This game made my football season!!! I hated every second of this game except for 10 of them! My house was going bananas!! However, my favorite was seeing former Spartan Le'Veon Bell still excited for his alma mater! Here is a clip of his awesome reaction, in case you missed it!! #spartandawgs #spartansallday 

I thought the game was amazing. The odds were against us the whole time and then at the very last second thigns turned around. It was so unexpected and unbelievable. It shows how you should never give up even when it seems hopeless, because there is the possibility that you will be able to win. I think that moment will go down in Football history.

With the way videos go viral so quickly, what is a way a brand can make their videos go viral and get more awareness?

I did not know about how football games played. After i heard about this game, i looked up for rules and understood that our school's football team went insane. 

I really liked while i was watching this video...!!!!

The game left me in so much shock, I really thought we had lost until that last second. It was an amazing finish for the Spartans! But on another note, for mobile useage, wouldnt it be easier for a brand to create an app that hold all their information, ie posts on instagram, facebook, blogs, etc.?

I had the best time ever. My best friend goes to Michigan so a couple of friends of mine from MSU and I went there to visit. It's so cliche but I was so "high on life" after the end of that game. We were watching it in her apartment while she was at the game. By the 3rd quarter me and my friends got really depressed and upset that we probably wouldn't win, and then we would have to deal with my friend rubbing it in our face the rest of the weekend that Michigan finally beat MSU. But those 10 seconds at the end of the game changed everything. I don't think I have ever screamed so loud. It was great. 

I was working during the game, but I didn't miss a thing. We had every TV at work turned to the game and everyone at work started screaming when we won! 

I understand the differences between responsive design and creating a mobile website, but why would someone want to use responsive design versus creating a mobile website for their business? Especially for large corporations that can afford to maintain the upkeep on a mobile website?

I was actually at the game! I stood right in the middle of the Michigan Alumni section and had a blast! I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some really good sports. I currently have a broken foot so standing for that long was a bit difficult. The celebration following the big win was the best part of my day! Although, I ended up getting pushed over by a U of M mom... She kicked me while I was already down!

Watching the football game this past weekend was a rollercoaster of emotions! After the last ten seconds, I was in complete shock and dropped to the floor. I was wearing a flannel onsie and probably looked absolutely ridiculous, but I was very happy.

The game with Michigan was the most interesting and exciting game in my life.

However, at this point, some issues were gone too far. The guy, right after we touch down, was unvealed through social network service,

and he is turned out to be embarrassing nationally.

People should be more curious about someone's life.

Is it possible to have inbound marketing without content marketing, and also is it possible to use content marketing in other ways than inbound marketing?

With everyone in today's world surfing their mobile devices 24/7, what features and attributes of the top surfed mobile sites do you think are the strongest components for consumers to keep coming back and visiting their site? 

For my question this week about Purina is its ability to keep their mobile app updated and relevant. Does a company come to a point where it can not outweigh the cost of keeping a mobile app with all the updates, with the benefits. Is there ever a huge disadvantage to not having an app that this might be ignored if there is a defecit?

Many MSU people had fun with the reaction of UofM audiences' on the social media. I was satisfied with the MSU's victory, but I also thought it is too much teasing

How do you ensure that the mobile app you created for your brand gets the attention it deserves?

It was an incredible experiance to be in Ann Arbor for the day, and an even better one watching the Spartans win! But with all the new advancements in mobile technology my question this week is; where do you think that companies should focus their marketing resourses on when it comes to the issue of mobile vs a desktop platform? Obviously they need to be in both feilds or they will suffer but do you think the majority of money should be put into the growing mobile feild and developing apps or should companies just stay with their bread and butter and keep the desktop adds flowing? 

With modbile networking becoming increasingly more popular, when will larger devices officially start becoming more obsolete? It appears mobile apps stress convenience, but when it comes down to it the most efficient way navigate the web is through the desktop version.

I think it is a great idea for any sports-related company to be on top of shocking stories like this one and create memorable content for viewers and fans to view that isn't purely comprised of replays from the game. I think the Big Ten Network did a great job with that based off of the clip above. It gave a more personal view of the game from various points of view; the players, Michigan fans, MSU fans, and the coaches. We saw a variety of emtions and it felt like I was watching a sports movie or a short documentary. It actually reminded me of a clip from the TV series, Friday Night Lights, which makes me want to share the clip with friends whom are also fans of that show.

The game was unreal! I heard that MSU had a 1 in 500 chance of winning at that point in the game! I'm so proud to be a Spartan.

After seeing the viral memes created from the faces of shocked Michigan fans I'm wondering, do you think it's unprofessional for a company to use memes in their marketing or could it be beneficial to the company? 

That was absolutely miracle! I feel so proud of those boys even I'm not a huge football fan. "Our dream is still alive."

i did not attend any football befor but when I watching this video, i think i will going to see the next game. 

it is a pity i did not watch the game, I was in Chicago instead. But jusy by watching this vedio, it was so exciting, the music did a good job. My question for this week is that my company is Honda, and I searcher Honda and Toyota's apps, what I found is apps for car owners to use in their car. And those apps could not update some cool functions because it has to fit mobile devices that are not advancing operation systme like iOS9. For automotives, how can they develop mobile marketing stratagies? I guess they can deveop apps for automotive fans, like some car magazine apps. 

What is the best way to narrow down searches for my brand using keywords? My brand is Kohl's and they sell a large variety of items. This makes it difficult to pin down keywords for customers to find.  

Being in the Big House last weekend was the craziest football game I have ever been to over experiencd. After the game concluded I felt like I went on a a roller-coaster ride. As far as mobile marketing goes what major concept would you recommened I focus on as a small business owner? 

The French version of my brand's application has a way customers can pay online for their purchases. How useful is it to have an option to pay through the application? Should all retail stores employ this?

What makes the difference in the speed and loading time of mobile websites? Is there a different way to optomize them than a desktop web page? My brand's mobile site was running quite slow compared to other sites I visited at the same time. It had a lot of photo and video content embeded in it, could this be why?

What a great game to experience as a student at the greatest school in the nation!

I know that having a great mobile site experience is key nowadays to marketing. Could you go over RSS in more detail; like if and how it comes into play in responsive web design and if it essential to brands to use in their online marketing?

Do you think it's important that all big companies have an app associated with them? My company, Subaru does not, but their mobile webpage works quite well. I feel like they might benefit from having an app but it makes me wonder whether or not it's necessary for all multi-national companies or if some can get away without it? Also, the game was crazy! 

My brand Isuzu seems to be lacking when it comes to their mobile application which has not been updated in almost 2 years but they do update the mobile friendly website when googled on a mobile device. How much of a negative influence does not updating your app have on potential customers? Also why spend the time and money to develop an app that you don't even use? What are the benefits of a mobile app as opposed to just a mobile friendly site?

As I analyze Adobe, I come across many areas that need improving.  They don't seem to be utilizing SEO and they could implement tutorial videos on their product pages.  Since they are such a big company, do they feel that they don't need to focus on these areas? In other words, do they feel that the customers will come to them without much effort? 

I signed up for my brand's email list at the beginnig of the semester and have yet to receive a single email. My brand is Boeing and they are not selling anything directly to consumers. What type of content would you recommend to send out from a brand that has nothing to sell to consumers?

For my question this week, I was wondering if you think that it is worthwhile for brands to explore virtual reality yet. The technology is projected to take off and many companies have not embraced it yet. My brand is United, do you think that they could benefit from stepping into the realm of VR?

I sometimes like to go to the writing center for help on my work. Can I rework on the ones that are already submitted?

There is no articles required to read this week. I read the book and saw a few recommendations for mobile marketing. What's your recommendation for retailers to do mobile marketing? What to avoid and what to pay more attention? 

I learned in my interactive advertising class that apps have a completely different purpose than a mobile site. Do you think there is ever a reason for a brand to have a mobile app that is exactly the same as their mobile site (commerce aside)?

every time I finished my coursework, the picture was up there. However, by the time professor checked my work, the pictures were always broken, so is there any ways to fix this problem?

Since we talk about the moble app this week. My question is: My brand is Wal-mart, how can I provide a fun and productive mobile experience around my brand?

Do you think providing game apps for the brand is effective way to advertise themselves? What other ways that companies can use apps to advertise themselves?

Do you think that companies (particularly grocery stores gain much from creating a mobile app)? More specifically, is it really worth the time, money, and effort of the company to develop a mobile app? My reasoning for asking is that I have downloaded grocery store apps for multiple different stores (including my brand for class, ALDI), and rarely seem to use any of them.

With different operating systems (Apple and Android) do mobile apps have to make different changes every time they update their apps or is it the same? Is there one system that is easier than the other?

Being asked to join an email list for a company can be very annoying when they constantly are filling up your inbox. Do you think companies spend a lot of time thinking of ways to stand out from the clutter-- i.e coming up with appealing subject lines? 

What can mobile apps and mobile app marketing do for a brand? If a brand/company does not have a mobile app, does it mean that it is behind the time and is less competitive than other brands?
