Blogging -- To The Edge & Back

After countless hours of thinking of something brilliant to come up with for my blog, suddenly it hit me! (**Cue light bulb** Bing!) I spend a considerable amount of time either traveling to different places or planning future vacations, so it only seemed right to base my blog around traveling – my journeys, past and present. I’m not a heavy traveler, more of a traveling enthusiast. I get comfort from knowing that I’m going someplace, whether it’s just an hour away or in a completely different time zone. This may come from my slight hatred for Michigan (especially its winter’s, but that’s another story.) In my blog I plan on including accounts of trips that I’ve taken, my experiences there, the good, the bad, the things you should try and the things you should shy away from. I’ve had some great experiences and I can’t wait to share them with the world. Also, I plan to include the places that I’d love to visit in the future – most likely including why I’d want to visit and what I’d want to there, and trust me – there’s a lot of places on my list! 

While initially creating my blog, I had a sudden feeling of fury when the username & domain I wanted to use were already taken, but I’m not one to stay mad for long, so I compromised. I decided to use the popular blogging software, WordPress, and to my surprise it wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be. Well, let me rephrase, it was fairly simple to create, however, there is just much stuff you can do in order to customize it – it’s just going to take some playing around with to get it just the way I want it, but I’m looking forward to this blogging journey!
