Foursquare SEM Campaign
foursquare's Advertising Platform
Besides a few deals with major companies like American Express, foursquares services are free. There is no money transaction between its users which is making it hard for me to determine CPC, ROI & CPA. According to an article I read by Cotton Dello from Ad Age, foursquare annouced that sometime near June they will be releasing the option for paid ads and be acting more like a media channel. Though its July and I still don't see anything about paid real time ads or coupons based on location options for buisness yet. However, when this does take effect I think that's when they are going to slang a mad profit. I'd say the best way for them to succesfully do this would be run their buisness like a media channel with a self service platform where buisness owners can log in and decide how many impressions or check-ins they'd like to buy from each target audience.
