Power bloggers have in common

 

 

When I was creating my own blog, my previous experiences passed in my mind. Actually I have had my private blog for about 6 years. The reason why I decided to have my own blog is that I want to share my opinions about various topics such as politics, culture and my daily life with many people. By visiting other bloggers, I could gain various information and their opinions. While I was visiting many blogs, I found some 'power bloggers' and I realized that most of power bloggers have something in common. From now on, I will talk about concomitant features.

 

 

 

 

 

Blog come in all shapes and size with people sharing details of their lives or knowledge in cyberspace. In addition blog is created and maintained by a person who is passionate about a subject and want to tell the world about his area of expertise(M. Scott, p. 195). I realized that power bloggers showed expert opinions about various subjects like culture, electronic products, or world history. Especially, I enjoy to read their posts more than traditional media because power bloggers' point of views are very detail than any other media. Sometimes I could obtain new knowledge by reading their posts and am amazed by their specialized knowledge. Also when I need to purchase a certain electronic products, I search blog sites or power bloggers who is famous for electronics review. This is because most of their reviews based on bloggers' real experiences. Moreover, due to the blog, people can address about many kinds of issues what they are well aware of because unlike other social media, blog provides enough space to write. This point made people possible to write about a niche area of expertise too. 

 

 

 

Even though some posts contain a long piece of writing, they have high readability. This is because both their flow of meanings and content constructions were quite clear to follow and understand. Also bloggers do not neglect perfect grammar and spelling because they can not only be another important factor in good writings but also can inhance credibility of the article. In addition to that point, power bloggers also do not use any slang words and abusive language. All bloggers should remember that anguage is more than a simple means of communication; it can be also an expression of writers personality and ethical stances.

 

 

Even though someone have a great knowledge and writing skill, the most essential factor is to keep on posting and updating. I found that power bloggers update their blog freguently and provide new information for visitors. Just having a blog for a long time cannot be helpful to be a power blogger too. Most of all, people visit and trust power bloggers to share their experience and give advice(knowledge). If a person pay no attention to updating his blog, visitors will start to find other blog immediately. 

          

Blog provided lots of benefits to me. Most of all, I could make new friends and sometimes we meet each other for real. Also, I could meet people of various backgrounds such as a journalist, traveler and artist through the world of blog. Sometimes I could gain indirect experience by visiting their blog. However, since blog community has been growing larger and expanding, some demerits also emerging. The first drawback is that someone can steal others' posts. Some people just copy other blogger's post and paste it into their blog. Another problem comes from my experience. One day, my friend showed someone's blog to me. Surprisingly, the blog design and writing style were quite similar with my friend's blog. Even the domain address was also alike. Thus my friend wanted me to give some solution about that situation. However, there was no clear answer about this. We suspect the blogger stole my friend's blog, but there is no proof. Not only those issues, there would be more problems about blog and to figure out those problems might be pretty hard since there is no specific regulations or laws. Therefore, it is necessary to establish and follow internet etiquette first.
