Rookie Bloggers
Can Anybody Really Blog?
I wasn’t too sure of myself when I first read the assignment overview. I don’t normally read blogs, so I was sure it would be too difficult to create one. Web logging can be easier than you think, it’s basically writing something about you’re already passionate about. Why not start conversations with other bloggers that give you real time responses. It’s like having a conversation with friends, you’re looking for answers, input, and opinions on things in a face to face conversation. It’s the same thing in blog land, and in blog land you can get your thoughts out to people from ALL walks of life. For all you future bloggers out there I encourage you to check out an article on blogging basics. It gives you five great tips to help get your blog up and running.
Designing Is Easier Than You Think
Now that you’ve decided a subject the subject you’d like to talk about. How easy is it to create a blog site? If you’re anything like me you can pick up on things pretty quickly, you just need to see things in motion. After the readings I’ve come to find out that there are tons of blogging dashboards out there, and they give you step by step tutorials to help with your design. WordPress is definitely one of the best out there on first impression it seems like there is a lot going on, you just need to get your hands dirty. It gets easier as you go along I promise! One of my favorite blogging tips is credited to Melanie Nelson from her article on blogginbasics101.com. Melanie gives five really good ones, she’s so right when she warns you on making your background dark, and your text light. Sounds like a pretty simple tip, but if you don’t want your page looking like a terrible Myspace profile I strongly recommend this site.
