Sounds like a dream business model. Add the fact that Google is one of the most popular websites in the world and you have the perfect mix for anyone to start a marketing plan. The best part about marketing on Google is that it is not that complicated, and they make sure you're getting what you put into it. From Google Analytics to their actual advertising program Google AdWords, you can make an entire online marketing program and track everything just by using Google.
My Favorite Google Tools
- Google AdPlanner - I love this website for all of the marketing information you can gather from it. This website is a market researcher's dream. My favorite part is it's Top 1000 Sites list. I spent at least an hour combing through all the top websites worldwide. This list shows how many unique visitors it gets, it's audience reach and if the website advertises. If I were to start an online marketing campaign, this list would be my starting point.
- Youtube Advertising - If I wanted to run a successful digital marketing campaign, I would invest a lot into advertising on Youtube. Lately, YouTube has been really promoting the fact that small businesses can advertise on Youtube. Your ad doesn't need the production budget to still be effective.
- Google Web Optimizer - For a new Internet company, This tool is essential. Before you waste any budget on advertising for your website, you should probably be sure that the site is actually effective when people find it.
If you just used Google, and all of its applications or advertising, you would be able run a successful digital marketing campaign for your website. You just need to take advantage of all its great tools.
