Optimizing my Tumblr

Before this assignment I was unaware of the capabilities of Google Analytics. I had heard of using keywords to optimize your search but thought it was something web-programmers took care of. Having a title that is named after a song, I struggled to come up with specific key phrases to choose. I wanted to include blog in more of the phrases to reiterate the idea that it was a blog and differentiate it from the song. When choosing pictures for which to blog I choose ones with an upbeat, positive vibe that will make you smile. I wanted my key phrases to help incorporate some of those ideas. With each new blog post, I tag each of these key phrases and even include hastags in captions. I then used the Mass Post capability on Tumbler to insure that all previous posts were also tagged with the same key phrases. My Tumblr is then linked to both Facebook and Twitter to reach a wider audience. I look forward to checking in on the success of my Tumblr and ultimately my key phrases.
