Today I want you to take a look at some Inbound Marketing tools. Two of the best out there are Hubspot and Marketo. Have you checked them out yet? Take a spin and share your thoughts on the comments of this blog post.
Running an Inbound Marketing agency like Ingenex, we have choices to make in which products and tools we use to measure client success, and drive more sales. We prefer to take a more custom approach. Using Google Analytics, combined with some advanced web monitoring tools, and email marketing tool Emma to create custom programs that smaller companies can buy into and use.
Marketo and Hubspot are advanced tools, and they do a lot of the automation and tracking for you. So bravo to them!
So who wins?
Comments & Feedback
I tried HubSpot a couple of weeks ago when doing the inbound marketing assignment, and I found it really attractive. HubSpot is not only a place for inbound marketing resource, but is also a provider of inbound marketing solutions for small and medium enterprises. I found a lot of creative ideas and solutions that HubSpot provided to its clients, and I personally think it really helps.
Marketo explains the Inbound Marketing well and trying to engage people to like it rather than skip over it. Hubspot seems seems to be eaiser to navigate through with a variety of optios. The app idea is great for todays society and it is a new means of connecting with consumers.
This is the first I have heard of either of these marketing tools. And after being introduced to them, and exploring them I think they're both pretty great! They're both super helpful and advanced at monitoring everything. Although I have a soft spot for anything Google, I think that these two tools hold their own against Google Analytics. To choose? I choose HubSpot, I find the layout to be cleaner, and a lot easier to use. But good job to both tools!
Both of these are very new to me. I've heard of Hubspot but never really looked into it, or had a reason to. After reviewing both of them, I honestly couldn’t say which one I would prefer! Hubspot seems like it would be better for smaller businesses, while Marketo suits more multifaceted businesses. It seems like Hubspot would be easier to use than Marketo, which would be good for a technology-challenged person like myself. It’s up to personal preference, whether your company needs something simple or complex.
I'd have to say either one looks good. Marketo has a great way of explaining Inbound Marketing and it seems like they are really trying to figure out how to get people to like marketing rather than skipping over everything. They seem to be able to reach a broader audience also. Hubspot seems like it is much easier to use and navigate their website with all the different options they have and how easy it is to click and view everything they have. Having an app makes the world of difference also, so many people have smart phones today that everything needs to have an app.
Although both companies are both very appealing with what they offer, I think if I was running a business I would choose Marketo. It seems as though they cover a more broad range of types of companies and what services they have. They have service packages for companies from small businesses to global enterprises. It may seem as though they're trying to cover too much and won't deliver as well of a job compared to someone who is focused on companies of a specific size, but maybe Marketo is such a large company that they have the tools and people to cover that broad range. It also seems as though they offer more in each service package compared to HubSpot. What is cool about HubSpot is that it's cheaper and they do offer a free trial. Marketo just seems as though you're really getting your money's worth with their services. They even have case studies to prove their success.
Prior to this blog post I had never heard of Hubspot or Marketo. With little actual research into the two tools, I like Hubspot better already. Their website seems much more user friendly- easy to read and easy to find what you are looking for. Although Marketo's website is much more in your face and bold, HubSpot's website is less intimidating. This is important for me or another person who might not yet be a pro on inbound marketing.
Both of these companies are new to me. It was interesting to view a new concept I have never seen before. I personally like HubSpot better because it includes a marketing solution for businesses all in one software. It has blogging, analytics, social media, email, automation, and several other tools. I like that it allows for usage of different marketing programs all in one place. It seems like a program I could learn how to use quickly because it is simple and organized.
The idea of Inbound Marketing is a fairly concept to me. I also haven't heard of either Hubspot or Marketo. After reviewing both sites, I think Hubspot gets my overall vote. The layout is easier to follow and their site seems simpler to use yet still very professional and impressive. Marketo was pretty cool but I didn't care much for the layout and didn't find it as easy to learn about. Overall though, both seem to offer similar services and have a variety of tools that can be useful depending on the company. I definitely plan on learning more about these sites and finding ways to use them personally.
I think I have to roll with Hubspot on this one. It seems to be easier for the user to navigate. However, because this is my first time ever even learning about these tools, I dont think I can accurately say who wins. Maybe if I had a business to actually put both of these to the test, I'd had a better understanding of the two to actually declare a winner. I liked Hubspot because Marketo spent a lot of time focusing on awards without making it easy to use like Hubspot. If you're the best, people will know it; no need to brag.
.
The entire conecpt of Inbound Marketing is completely new to me. Before this post and this class, and Ingenex, I have never heard of it nor did I know something truly exsisted. After doing some research, I feel that Inbound Marketing such as Hubspot or Marketo are extremely important tools for companies becasue it makes tracking data and social media etc. a lot easier for businesses. I do not know a reason why it would not be a tool that is used because for companies becasue it, to me, seems to be a complete marketing tool for companies with everything they need compiled into one. I could have a misunderstanding but it is something I would definitely want to learn more about!
I had never heard of either company, so I was pretty excited to get a chance to take a look at both of them.
Hubspot definitely takes it for me. Not only because it is much more user friendly, but because of all of the very specific marketing programs they provide whether it's blogging software or SEO. It's very simple yet very thorough at the same time. Very impressive.
I've never looked into any of these sites previously, but looking into them each for a little bit they seem very useful. Hubspot seems like it would be really easy to use, because of a very user frienly interface, but also looks like you can pull a lot of data out of it. Marketo looks a lot more complicated, but I assume is more powerful. Either way, if I was running a small business or website, these are tools that I think would be very helpful.
I had never heard of either of these companies but after looking into them I would have to agree with everyone else who commented and say that Hubspot is much more user friendly. Hubspot seems to offer a lot of tools and anyone who wants to grow their business should use it. They will help your business with SEO, blogging and social media which are very important marketing tools, especially today.
I really wasn't familiar with either company nor that companies like this even existed until this blog post. After looking at both sites, I would have to say that HubSpot seems like a better choice... especially for companies new to this type of marketing. It seems easier to access and use and is more structured for the less tech-savvy individuals. I like the way that the HubSpot website is organized because it lets you easily find exactly what you are looking for. The website clearly marks everything and outlines it all allowing for the most efficient use and an easy choice of which one is better!
After checking out both sites HubSpot seems to be more user-friendly. The websites make it able for companies to create their own websites, cutting cost. If I was running a small business I would definitely want to use one of these websites.
I never knew about these tools until I looked into this blog. After looking at both Hubspot and Marketo, I believe Hubspot better. It is a very simple concept that I believe anyone can understand and use. Many companies will be able to use this and not hire other companies to do marketing for them. I would use either if I was a new company.
I had recently checked out these tools and I am leaning toward HubSpot. It looks great for companies to promote and advertise their products. It analyzes a range of online marketing activities and then provides a report on what to fix on the website or blog to increase leads.
Personally, I think HubSpot is a bit more appealing and user-friendly. I am not familiar with Marketo, so I'm sure that puts me at a bias standpoint. But, I know HubSpot offers a wide variety of tools to drive traffic and boost brand awareness. Also, after doing a bit of research I saw that Google has invested in HubSpot which creates access to over 5500 clients, while Marketo only has 1400. Also, Marketo is a bit more expensive per month. Coming from a logical standpoint, I am leaning towards HubSpot because of it's comprehensive features to drive traffic in a less-expensive, user-friendly way.

I didn't even know websites like this existed before I checked out this post. I would have to say that hubspot looks a lot easier to use but unless I were to actually try and set up both of these tools for a business and use them for a period of time, I wouldn't be able to accurately tell which one is better. But if I were running short on time and I had to set one up for my business in a short time, I would definitely choose Hubspot because it does look much simpler. Marketo's site looks like they are just trying to tell you how great they are with all of the quotes and award things. I'm not feeling it. Hubsot it is.
Before looking at Hubspot and Marketo, I had never heard of either of these tools. Hubspot seems to be the most user friendly site between the two. It allows companies that aren't as tech-savy or don't really have any web design knowledge to create their own websites. This can cut costs for companies because instead of hiring a company to create your site, you can have another employee design it. Both of the sites seem pretty interesting and I can see them expanding and becoming more popular in the near future.
I have never heard of either ot these, but when I did check them out, I decided that I like Hubspot a little bit more. Hubspot is able to operate in already saturated markets while still identifying the location of their customers. It also able to help track blogs, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
As other students have stated before this assignment I was unaware of Marketo and Hubspot. Both sites seemed interesting/cool but the one that I found easiest to use was Hubspot. Hubspot would be perfect for a small/smaller company for marketing. It would help improve smaller companies marketing efforts. I think both companies are interesting and if I was a new company I would use either, I think they are interesting tools.
Before reading this, I hadn't heard of either of the inbound marketing tools. A big area where a lot of businesses struggle is online marketing unless you're a techy nerd type. Hubspot gives companies an honest grade of what that site is worth, which could be a shock for many. It has one of the simplest content management systems ever. It’s basically a system that allows non-techies to design their own websites with almost no previous programming or code knowledge. Such a tool allows business owners and their employees to overcome the terrible bottleneck of having a webmaster and ultimately take back the keys to their web marketing vehicle. This is only one of very few benefits to using inbound marketing. It's really cool and I can see it getting bigger and bigger.
I have never taken a look at either site or heard much buzz about them. But after peeking around the websites a little I would have to vote for HubSpot. HubSpot seems to look more user friendly or just show more of what they have to offer. I get a glimps at what I would get and there isn't much to guess about.
I still don't know a whole lot about things such as Inbound Marketing, but after looking at both of these websites I would say that HubSpot looks a whole lot more user friendly. From an outsider prospective I would say it looks kind of like a Mac vs PC comparison in these two companies, and as a Mac user I am pretty partial.
Before reading this post, I had never heard of either of these Inbound Marketing tools. After doing a bit of research into them, Hubspot is by far my favorite of the two. It seems much more user-friendly and easier to understand than Marketo, making Hubspot much more suited for a smaller business that is just getting its feet wet in online advertising.
Before reading this blog I had never heard of Marketo or Hubspot before. After reading over both sites Hubspot seems to be a much better site for small companies. This site seems to be easy to use and understand making it easy for small companies to start marketing right.
After reviewing both tools I was really attracted to Hubspot as opposed to Marketo. Hubspot has a much more casual and inviting atmosphere as well as looking much simpler to use which is a great advantage to people new to this tool as am I and many of my classmates.
Before reading this today, I had never heard of these advanced tools. But if the work I'm doing in this course is any indication, I will most likely learn about them or even use them in the near future. I checked them out, and I think Marketo might be a better choice for more casual users because it seems easier to understand than Hubdpot. The website is more inviting and it looks like a much simpler process.
Upon review, I find myself feeling blown away by both of these products, which both boast promising marketing success. However, each companies culture seems to shine through and diffentiate the two products. Hubspot reminds me of social marketing in terms of usability. It's sleek, mainstreamed, and ergonomic to the marketers. Where Marketo gives me the impression of a more serious tool, which may require some more intensive training to become an expert user. Hubspot to me, is really all about promotion and mainstreaming the basic marketing processes, to save time and get better results. Instead of learning HTML or waiting on an IT department the less tech savvy marketers can create their own pages and buttons to place into emails and such. One defining factor of Marketo, that I really was impressed with, was the Lead aspect of the software. By tracking users from the beginning to the sale step in a plan, marketers are able to see what's most effective and really have the opportunity to reach users at just the right moment by waiting to introduce a sale opportunity until a Lead reaches a certain point.
However, I am chosing to make my decision, by which tool I would like to work with in the future. Technology changes so quicklly, I have a hard time keeping up with all of the new tricks and gigs. Hubspot seems to stream line the process so even the most ameteur marketer has a chance to succeed and take on real accounts. The fanagaling with different systems, departments, and tools are eliminated making it more simple yet sophisticated. I chose Hubspot over Marketo because I don't feel like Marketo will be as relavant or be able to keep up with the way things change so quicklly. Marketo is a very sleek tool with seemingly endless possibilities, but as mentioned previously- it looks difficult, like it requires more training.
I have never heard of either site but both Inbound Marketing tools seem like a great idea, especially if a smaller company is trying to expand their reach but doesn't have to budget to outsource to another company that can handle all of their marketing needs. Hubspot seems more user friendly and you can get a little taste of what you are investing in and you also have a chance to take a look at how other companies have done using Hubspot. If I were starting a new company I would definitiey use either one of these cool tools!
Inbound marketing is mostly all about gaining customers attention through social media and it acts as a helpful tool that manages interaction with each other. In my own opinion, the marketing tools are not as confusing to utilize and even though it is a accustomed way of determining the sales/success, it is valuable. Also, it is inexpensive and digital marketing has its own awesome effect of creating more traffic through visuals. These type of online communication and services are more convenient for the consumers. I didn’t really know much about these websites, but Ingenex seems like a good technique that will be lead to success.
Like many of my classmates have stated before this, I had never heard of either of these before you posted your blog about it. After reviewing both sites I found that Hubspot seemed like it was easier to use and would be a better bet for a smaller company looking to improve their marketing efforts. I would love to hear what you have to say after working with both of these companies a little later on.
After watching the Hubspot tutorial, it became evident how much easier it makes things for marketers. You don't have to wait long periods after requesting lining pages, which makes the job of Hubspot much simplier. The Smart Field tool shows when prospects have visited the website, which increases conversion rates and reduces form size. The centralized contact database of Hubspot keeps data insync with CRM. Also, creating an email at Hubspot is very easy, it simplifies the adding of CTA and social links to an email. With Hubspot email, there is no need to jump to different tools or tabs, which saves a lot of time and cuts down on email stress. The Smarts CTA tool helps determine who's going to see the CTA, which helps with making the marketing feel a lot more personal.
I had not have any idea about inbond marketing so far. However, it seems more efficient to save cost and focus on real target market. So, I think contents should be more expertised than outbound marketing for more attention. I guess more small business owners will use Hubspot than Marketo, beacuse it is cheaper and all programmed.
I had not heard of either of these tools before today, I must admit. I honestly prefer Hubspot. I feel like it was easier to use and more idiot proof. It was clearly organized and well laid out, in my opinion. However, that being said, I'm sure if I took extensive time to learn the ins and outs of both resources, my opinion might change. But for the time being, I think for begininners, Marketo is a little more challenging to use.
Inbound marketing focuses on earning customers' attention through social media and engaging content, such as ,blogs, postcasts etc.The content is not annoying and is viewed as positive in customer's eyes. It's a less expensive and more efficient marketing communication way. Also, social media participation actually builds a two-way dialogue mode in marketing communication.
In contrast to traditional outbound marketing.Marketers have to beg or buy customer's way in.The inbound marketing actually create informative content to earn their way in with the technology facilitated by social media development. It is a winning method in the future for its low cost but high efficiency.
I've never heared of any of these marketing tools, but after looking through both of their websites, I would prefer to use Hubspot. Their information was much more organzied and it was formatted in a much simpler way. For someone like me who is just getting involved in this area of social media, I don't want to use something that is extremely confusing or hard to learn/work through. I want something that makes sense and will help me with what I'm working with.
From purely an ease of use and the overall look of these two inbound marketing websites, I would choose Hubspot as the winner. But to effectively choose one site over the other I would have to do a lot of work on each site to see which sites have extra tools that make particular marketing tasks simpler. I like that Hubspot markets themselves with their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, SlideShare, and Flickr in an easy to see place. This instantly makes the company more personable and likable.
I know nothing about Hubspot and Marketo before, after looking at both sites, I think Hubspot works for small business owners who have no time for all of the inbound marketing activities. Hubspot also works for larger companies, as it can be scaled to whole marekting departments and divisions. In my opinion, the key with inbound marketing and Hubspot is that they take time and energy.
Honestly, I had never heard of the term "inbound marketing" before. I had also never heard of these sites. (side note: I like this class, because it exposes me to things I should know about that I didn't before!) Out of the two sites, Hubspot looks more appealing to me. I don't know if it's because of their website design. I'm trying not to judge it by the aesthetics of its website, but Hubspot just seems more my style. Even though Marketo's website says they've won customer choice awards (however legit they are). However, both sites seems useful for internet marketing. Inbound marketing and the tools these websites offer is definitely an awesome thing! I was trying to figure out the pricing and it seems like Hubspot is less expensive than Marketo. Hubspot might be a better option for businesses starting off or small businesses.
First of all I have to say that I really did not understand what Inbound marketing is about neither the differences between Inbound and Outbound marketing. This post helps me to define those and make a clear picture about the situation of inbound marketing tools. HubSpot is definitely the first address when it comes to Inbound marketing tools. They have a really user-friendly surface and a really big client bases. Social media can also be implemented in this program. Marketo is more or less used by smaller companies, and may not be suitable for larger ones. Furthermore it is more difficult to navigate compared to HubSpot. So in my opinion HubSpot wins!
Inbound marketing is definitely a trend on the rise, as consumers are less inclined to respond well to spamming, and would rather be paired up with what they need. It's about crerating an exchange of value, and if a consumer is drawn to a website or product that they will want to buy, it is much better and more efficient for both sides. That being said, HubSpot has to take the crown here. Unfortunately, first impressions are perhaps more imporatant than anything, and HubSpot's first impression-its website- is much better than Marketo's. Even though both tools are useful, HubSpot takes the cake. The way they have organized their product package into a all-encompassing campaign is something that any business would benefit greatly from. I would anticipate that they will have success assuming they can back up what they advertise.
HubSpot and Marketo are marketing softwares made available for any company around the world. Hubspot is currently helping more than 8,000 companies in 56 countries by engaging with people and turning them into customers. On the other hand, Marketo is serving around 2,000 companies in more than 35 countries. In my opinion HubSpot is better for businesses because it allows them to edit their websites, review analytical information, assist social media, track sales, etc. If a company wants to make a large impact with their web strategies, Hubspot can be very useful.
The blog posted above helped me a lot understand the differences between “inbound marketing” and “outbound marketing.” Before reading the blog post, I did not have a clear definition of both inbound and outbound marketing. After reading the post and taking a look at inbound marketing tools, I was able to establish my own definition of inbound and outbound marketing. In bound marketing, also called “pull marketing”, is the marketing technique which makes people to search products or services voluntarily. However, outbound marketing, also called “push marketing”, is the marketing technique that companies or manufacturers “push” and “force” customers to read/view their ads and to purchase their products or services. Based on my research, the future of marketing is heading to inbound marketing and those two tools introduced above would help companies to fully carry out inbound marketing.
Inbound marketing tools is completely new to me - but with some research I'm starting to get the right idea, I hope. HubSpot seems to be much more user friendly, as well as a smarter option for companies with a larger client base. HubSpot does not need programming for the use keeping it easy to use, and it also includes social media tools! Marketo seems to be something aimed at a smaller clientel. With the ability to custimize the program to the clients needs, it would be great for any group with a marketing team or agency. As far as money goes, HubSpot is also more affordable than Marketo.
Being a college student just looking to get their "hands wet" and learn the new stuff, I would say HubSpot wins. It seems to be easy to use and learn from - also great for someone just starting out!
I had never heard of either of these companies before, but after looking through both websites I would have to say that I would prefer to use HupSpot. The website was more accesible, direct and clear than Marketo. Also, their prices are more competitive if you're just starting out and want to test the waters to see what the results would be.
I wasn’t very educated on inbound marketing strategies before this blog post, but after doing some research I’ve realized how valuable it is to both the consumer and company. Hubspot and Marketo seem like credible resources that have been validated by many marketing professionals. With that being said, I believe they also serve slightly different purposes. Based on their websites and reviews, Hubspot seems like it is more targeted towards smaller businesses, while Marketo seems to hold the capabilities to work effectively with larger corporations.
I personally thought Hubspot’s website was more user friendly than Marketo. Even though they both presented all the information necessary to a potential customer, Marketo seemed very cluttered. When a sites home page is that junked up, it loses its reliability in my eyes. Then again, that is just my opinion. Overall, both software’s provide services that better connect customers to products or services that interest them. They both offer tools that allow marketers to create strategies and evaluate each one to see what is most effective. With so much technology these days, I think it is so important to keep your marketing strategies up to date. The quicker you can reach your target market, the better. If it were me choosing one of these sites to use, I would have to go with Hubspot because it seems more straight forward and simpler to use than Marketo.
I prefer Marketo. One of my friends switched from Pardot to Marketo because they were scaling and needed functionality beyond the basics. If you are looking to save money, Marketo has a new SMB edition which has the same beautiful intuitive interface perhaps slightly few features. It allows you to organize your lists and opt-outs, send simple or sophisticated campaigns and score youre leads to manage sales funnel. However I think HubSpot also has some awesome tools, but is still weaker on the SFDC automation and segmentation features.
