For spring break I did job interviews instead of going somewhere. I am actually happy how that turned out because now I have a summer internship in LA that I am very excited about.
Following up a few weeks after my spring break career-exposure trip with James Madison College, I am very glad I took the time to send hand-written thank you notes to the alumni who spoke with us and introduced us to their companies. A JMC grad who is a journalist for Politico took the time to respond, and reached out to give me his contact info. A little extra effort when making connections as a student goes a long way!
Over Spring break, I worked alot so that I could make money and continue to save up for a trip once school is over. I plan to take a trip out of the country. I would really like to go to Spain, it has always been one of my favorite places that I've seen in pictures and videos.
A little late to this post, but I realized I never commented on it! For spring break, I visited Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) with my sister. I had an amazing time, and the weather was perfect. As I currently sit in 50 degree rainy weather, I am wishing I could go back.
Here's a picture I took of the beach where we stayed! The views were incredible.
I know I'm a little late to comment on this post, but I loved reading about everyone else's adventures! My roommate and I went to Orlando for spring break. It started out a little rocky, with a 7-hr delay in Detroit (which resulted in a $100 ticket voucher for our next flights). When we got to Orlando, we picked up our rental car and headed to our hotel. We stayed super close to Disney World, so that was really cool. We drove to Cocoa Beach one day and Daytona another day, where Bike Week was just starting. We also went to Downtown Disney at night and went to Universal's City Walk, where we wandered and got dinner and drinks at Margaritaville. Overall, it was a great trip (save for the delays and the inevitable sunburns), and we were happy to come home to find that there wasn't any snow waiting for us.
I go to Chicago for my spring break, the weather is cold like winter. But the most amazing things in chicago is i can have a lof of great chinese food in china town. All travel is full of eating. It is a great trip for me althought the weather is not good. Next time maybe a warmer place
For my spring break, I went to the Cancun, Mexico. It is wonderful experience. The tourism is perfect in Cancun.
There are many interesting theme park and activities.
I spent my spring break volunteering with a program called STLF. We went to 6 different cities in the U.S. and did volunteer projects before being able to explore the city we volunteered in! It was such a great opportunity to connect with fellow spartans, and now I've connected with a group of amazing people.
I have a very sick little munchkin at home, and spent most of my spring break at home in Brighton taking care of her. No worries though; she's passed a couple bladder stones since then and hasn't lost her appetite in the slightest! Two weeks after spring break, I'm still commuting from home so I can be with her while I'm not in class, but come on... How could anyone resist that little belly?
I spent the week down in Ft. Lauderdale with all my best friends. We drove down and had a great time enjoying ourselves. On the way back we hit Nashville for a night and that is always a good time. One of my favorite cities in the world.

For spring break I went to Ft. Lauderdale with a large group of friends. I drove down with the girls that I will be living with (which I DO NOT recommend-the drive ended up being much longer than anticipated). However, it was a really great trip and ended up being the best spring break yet. Can't wait for next year!
Along with half of MSU, I went down to Ft. Lauderdale for spring break. I went down with 7 of my friends for 7 days. This spring break was by far the best one that I have had in college and it was great seeing so many familiar faces down there. I wish I could go back and soak up more sun!
I spent the week in East Lansing working, relaxing, and doing homework. Also, watching way too much Netflix, and taking too many naps.
I spent the week with my family and catching up with old friends! It was nice seeing all the changes in my hometown!
I was lucky enough to spend my break in Florida with my best friends, it was really fun and the weather was great!
I was able to spend Spring Break in Clarkston Georgia with one of my childhood best friends. Waking up to lots of sunshine and 60-degree weather, which felt like 70, was the most amazing thing. Since my friend is a photographer and her roommate is a music producer, I had the pleasure of meeting some upcoming artists. I tried a veggie burger for the first time, got to listen to some amazing music, hung around great people, and enjoyed the amazing vibes in Atlanta!
I as well as about 2000 MSU students went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for spring break. It was honestly one of the best weeks of my life. I was down there with about 25 of my friends and for the 6 nights that we were there we recorded about 20 hours of sleep total. The weather was amazing and the water felt amazing. One day there was a manatee close to the shore and I was about to get pretty close to it. Overall it was a great experiance and I wish i was back there and not in the cold and snow here.
For Spring Break me and my family went to Miami. We go there a lot because there is a lot to do and we love the enviornment. We went to the beach many times and went to many restaurants. We like to relax and have care free vacations and Miami is perfect for it. Look forward to going back every time.
This spring break I went to West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale in Florida. I went with two of my best friends. We honestly had such a great time. Went to a lot of great restaurants, had yummy drinks and spent a lot of time by the pool and beach. It was amazing to be in the sun and detox from the dreary winter weather. I will definitely be moving to a warm state post graduation!
I had an amazing time in Washington DC on a career exposure trip with James Madison College! I was able to meet with recruiters from the CIA, State Department, NSC, PR firms, and Think Tanks. I was also able to geek out at all the history I was able to soak up!
I did absolutely nothing on my spring break and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The "FOMO" that everyone claims to have on spring break of not being able to drink on the beach with their friends was definitely no where near where my head was at. I got to sleep in, watch GOT all over again and hang out with my family. Also I ate tons of sushi. #SPRINGBREAK2K17
For spring break my boyfriend and I visited my grandparents condo in Bal Harbour, Florida which is just north of Miami. We ate a lot of good food, relaxed, watched movies, went to the beach, and laid by the pool. I finished the trip off with a 2nd degree sunburn on my legs. I really know how to seal the deal.
For Spring Break I went home and relaxed! My dog had puppies so I spent a lot of time just watching them eat and grow. I also spent a lot of time talking and going places because the wind storm left us with no power for four days!
I am happy to say I had a really fun spring break! I spent 4 days in California with some family friends. I had never been to Cali before and I had always wanted to see it. So, I am so happy that I got to see a little bit of it. I got to go to LA, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Huntington Beach, and San Diego. I hope to one day move there!
I also went to Ft. Lauderdale with some friends this past week and that was also a blast! I had never been there before either, so it was fun to travel to all of these new places!
Over break my family and friends came over to celebrate my son's first birthday and then I spent the majority of my time preparing for my sister's bridal shower and got to ski a couple times.
This spring break I decided to get a house through Airbnb in Daytona Beach. I went with my boyfriend and our two friends that are also a couple. I had never done a trip through Airbnb. It was super awesome. The house was super nice and had everything we needed. it was a grand total of 800 bucks for the week. It was nice to keep it so cheap! My favorite part of my trip was getting to hold an alligator at a putt putt place!
For Spring Break I went to Myrtle Beach for the Hightide Tournament with the MSU Ultimate Frisbee team. Played a ton of frisbee, got really burnt, chilled on the beach and had a fantastic time overall!
Unfortunately, I was stuck here in the cold and wind. In fact, I went further up north to the Grayling area where there was about 2-3 feet of snow for a few days. So jealous of all those that went somewhere tropical!
Sadly, I did not go anywhere for Spring Break. I got a new job here in Lansing in which I work within the Lansing Public School District. So, I still had to work with the differing Spring Break schedules!
What I will say, however, is that I love my new job and all of the kids that I work with. It has been an amazing experience, so far!
Over spring break I went to St. Kitts, which is located in the Caribbean. This was my first time outside of the country, which made the trip even more exciting. I was able to relax by the pool, visit various beaches throughout the island, hike through the rainforest and snorkel for the first time.
Over the breakI went home to Detroit. I worked and got much needed rest; in between those things I visited family and meditated.
Spring Break Fun
Over Spring Break I went to Arizonia to hangout with some friends. I was a very fun experience this was my first time going to the west coast, so it was different getting used to the time zone difference. While on vacation I did a lot of shopping which was very excited because they has so many mall and outdoor shopping plazas. I also climbed half of a mountain which was pretty cool to see the view from over head. Overall I really enjoyed my Spring Break vacation, it was so warm and pretty!
Unfortunately, I stayed home this Spring Break. However, home isn't too bad when you're from Chicago. I got to celebrate St. Patrick's Day a weekend early and witnessed the river being dyed green!
For my spring break, I went to Florida like the rest of Michigan State students but I went to Fort Lauderdale. I ran into a lot of familiar faces and met a lot of different people from Florida and Michigan so that was pretty cool. I love how people were reppin the Michigan State flag on the beach, also one night at the bar the dj played the MSU fight song and almost everyone in there was singing along so that's how you knew majorty of Michigan State people were in Fort Lauderdale last week.
As mentioned in my bio, I collect sneakers. The end if Spring Break I attended Sneakercon in Cleveland, OH. A great event as usual. Next month I will attend this event in the Bay Area.
For my spring break I went to South Padre Island with a group of my good friends from high school. We made the 25 hour drive down there which was brutal but was worth it! It was my first time in Texas and the weather was beautiful. This picture is a view of the ocean we had while we were enjoying lunch :)
I went to Tahlequah, Oklahoma as a Trip Advisor/University partner to work on education for Native American children.
This spring break I went to Fort Myers Beach, Florida with another student in this class, Elizabeth Ustaski. We spent our time relaxing by the ocean and exploring the beach.
For my spring break I visited my grandparents in Florida and then went to my hometown Atlanta, GA. In Atlanta I met with two business professionals to discuss their careers. I also celebrated my moms birthday which was really nice because I dont get to see her often! I am so glad I was able to go home and spend time with family and friends!
I went to Florida with my friends. And we went to Universal Horror Makeup Show, and I was called on stage as a volunteer, and my arm got "cut" that's the most exciting part of my trip.
I spent my spring break as real break. I didn't do anything!!!
I took a rest that was all. It was fun!
This spring break I spent on my couch in my apartment with my pet cat, Pants. I worked on the portfolio, and worked on codding a website for a woman from my hometown. It was uneventful, but actually very productive!
Over spring break I went to London for a week with my sister and cousin. The first day we saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, went on the London Eye, and ate at TGI Fridays. The next day we went shopping at Harrods, Regent St, and Carnaby St. We also walked across the Tower Bridge and Millenium Bridge, went to the Tate Modern Museum, and Tower of London. At the Tower of London we got to see the crown jewels. Also, throughout the trip we ate at some cool restaurants and pubs. On the last day we went to the Harry Potter studios and got to see several of the sets from the films and their costumes. Overall, it was a great experience and I would love to go back one day.
Spring break was amazing this year! For my first time, it fell on my birhtday and I was lucky enough to visit France for a week. My brother currently lives in Paris so not only getting to see him, but finally getting to see the Effile Tower and all the other amazing sites was amazing! I loved every second of it.
I went cancun, Mexico with my roommate. It was my first time visiting Mexico. It was really nice and weather was perfect.
