My favorite social media right now would be snapchat. I check it numerous times per day (even though it kills my phone battery). I like snapchat because it's quick and I can choose what photos I want to look at by clicking on that person's snapchat story. I do not have to watch or look at everyone's pictures and videos like you have to on Facebook and Instagram. It is also very easy to use and it's quick. I don't see many brands advertising on snapchat yet, unless I follow a specific brand's snapchat. If a brand has a snapchat and can advertise their products via snap story, I think it's a great way to get exposure. Again, people can choose to view the snapchat so they won't feel bombarded with ads like they do on other social media outlets.
my favorite social network are Weibo and instagram. I use them everyday.(maybe 10 times a day) Because on Weibo, there are many interesting stories, pictures shared, and it makes me very happy, on Instagram, I can see my friends' recent update and very beautiful pictures. Yes, on Weibo, some famous people would advertise some products in their articles or pictures, and their followers would like to buy it.
My question is : is it more effective to let the bloggers advertise the product than traditional advertising nowadays.
Currently my favorite social media platform is Snapchat. I use Snapchat multiple times everyday. I like that its easy to connect with friends and you can tailor each snap. I can send photos to people, text them, have video, It combines a lot of other social media in one place. Brands have started and could continue to place ads in between people's stories. As long as it does not get too crazy and companies only place very few ads it does not bother me a lot. I think that the filters that a company could make are also a good way to incorporate their name/product into the app.
My favorite social media site right now is Snapchat. For most of my life I soley used Facebook, at least until Instagram and Twitter came along. Even with my attention divided between serveral sites I still used Facebook multiple times a day. Now Snapchat is my go to social media provider. Snapchat has attracted a young crowd and without the use of writing, the app is restricted to one form of content (visual media like pictures and videos). Snapchat is more personal than any social media site I've used and I love it!
My favorie social media site is Pinterest. I love being able to go back and there be something useful for me to make or design. I also love it because it helps me fullfil my life long dream of becoming an event planner. I like that I can still cmmunicate with people through Pinterest, but it is more about seeing what they are posting. I have been on it so long I can tell if someone is having a bad day based on their posts, and I can follow up on that.
My favorite social media is SnapChat. I use SnapChat everyday. I usually talk to my friends on there all day long or I am continuously checking it and watching my friends stories. I love the geo filters that are on there because they always enhance a great picture. I also love the filters that you can use on yourself to make sending pictures alot more fun. My brand can definitely use SnapChat to benefit them. Spartan Athletics can create geo filters for the various sporting events that are happening on campus.

Though I can't stand social media and have a strong dislike for the internet, I would say snapchat is the most fun social media form. I like it because it's in the moment and you get to see who's interested in your daily life. I personally feel brands could definietly use snapchat for event promotions because snapchat is more of an activity app where people HAVE to be doing something and more than likely they are out and about at different events or just places in general.
Well my use of social media has matured and for different reasons....
High school, at least for my age group, it was really cool then and people actually posted pics and wrote on walls. That was a different time, and that has settled down to the point its more just a forum for people updating other people on general life events. (weddings, births, deaths, etc.)
Instagram has really picked up, and probably my favorite. In this case, its more effective because its a more politically correct way of posting egotistical photos(which is all social media does for people), and you can actually really catch fire on Instagram. The ease of the platform makes it attractive, and I think Instagram is what I use now, and is the most popular amongst my age.
Snapchat oblitaterated Twitter, largely because it took the idea of short updates and just replaced it with short 10 second pictures. Pictures are more appealing than words, so Snapchat won.
Businesses can leverage Instagram by getting sponsored ads to reach new people and then also using their own page to grow awareness.
My question for the week is where do you see social media going in the next 10 years? Will it be relevant? I already know people getting away from Facebook since they don't like the congested feed and want privacy.
My favorite social media outlet is Instagram. I use it everyday and check it quite frequently throughout the day to see what pictures and videos people have posted. I enjoy using it becuase everyone posts different pictures and you can keep up with where people are in the country/ world. Everyone is updating about what they are doing and who they are with, which at times can be annoying but it also can be fun to keep up with family and friends lives. I think more companies and local businesses are using Instagram to promote themseleves. Since many millenials are using this platform businesses are smart to make their presence known on it. I know if I am looking for a local resturant or coffee shop I will also check out their Instagram to see what they serve and what the place looks like. There are proper uses for Instagram though and not all companies have figured that out quite yet. This is a growing form of social media and I think it will be around for awhile though due to its likeablitiy and easy user capabilities.
Even though I probably use Facebook more, my favorite social network is Instagram. I use Instagram fairly often, checking it a few times a day. I love it becasue it allows people to tell stories through images. I think Instagram is a great way for brands to connect with their consumers. By being creative and different on Instagram, brands can break through the clutter and have an impact on consumer's minds. I also think that brands should utilize all of the bloggers on Instagram with hundreds of thousands of followers to promote their products. Obviously, these need to be done in a tasteful way. I do not think that the 'smile and hold the teeth whitening kit' posts are very effective. The bloggers need to be sent free products and asked to honestly review them. My question, however, is if these kind of posts annoy followers or actually benefit them.
I use numerous social networks for different purposes. The one that I go on the most often and interact with is definitely Facebook. I rarely post on Facebook but am apart of fitness groups that I can only access through Facebook. I also love watching all the baking and cooking short videos, along with the DIY videos. I honestly am not a huge user of Snapchat because I have no idea how people can send snaps and have a conversation with one another; after you take a few pictures of your face, what else do you do? I just think it's an awkward form of conversation, you might as well text or Facetime. Brands are already using Facebook to market their products by creating their own pages and interacting with their audience. I actually learned about and joined my fitness program all through Facebook. It is a great medium to post videos and pictures of your product that will attract new audiences.
I use lot of different social network, but my favorite is sina weibo. I am chinese, the sina weibo is the most popular social network in China. I use everyday. The reason I love them so much is becasue you can see different news from this social network, evey chinese celebrity have weibo account. Lot of America celebrity have weibo account too, include Katy perry, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears etc. I do see some good ways for brands to use my favorite network to market their product. For example, every time you open your weibo account, you will see a brand's picture for two seconds, if you click it, you will go to their weibo account. My question for this week is which social network you think is the best one to promote brand?
I personally am not a very avid social network user. The social network that I use the most is Facebook. Facebook allows me to see what people are up too with their daily lives. I also like the feature of how people can invite you to an event, party, concert, or things of that nature. I would say that I rarely post or comment on Facebook, but I probably look at it once a day at least during the school year, and in the summers maybe a couple times a week. I would say that people do allot of advertising on Facebook and it is a good avenue for advertising considering so many people use it. What is your favorite social network?
My favorite social network is Facebook. I use Facebook a lot of times daily. One of the major reasons as to why I like using Facebook is because it helps me to connect with my friends (New and Old). You get regular updates of posts regarding various things you like in the world from Sports, Entertainment, Jobs, News, Politics etc in your Facebook page. Also, most of the posts from Facebook these days are videos. This helps in increasing the social media engagement of users where the posts get a lot of likes, comments, and shares from the users. I also find the messaging that is used in Facebook posts very simple and understandable.
I see a lot of good ways by which brands use Facebook to market their products. For instance, many brands use Facebook to post updates daily in their Facebook page regarding various topics that support their brand image. Also, some brands use videos instead of photos in their Facebook posts to promote their brand. This can help to increase the social media engagement of users as many users like to see videos rather than photos in the Facebook posts. Hence, these video posts achieve a lot of likes, comments, and shares from the users. Also, most of the messaging used by the brands in their Facebook page are simple and understandable. This makes the brand readable for all age groups from kids to elderly people.
Eventhough Facebook has done a great job in helping various brands to market their products, some of the other social networks are using some of the ways or techniques by which Facebook helps various brands to market their products. Hence, my question is will Facebook be overpowered by other social media networks in the future with regard to being the major social media network for promoting a brand?
My favorite social network is Snapchat. I like this social network so much because you are able to see 10 second videos or photos that show what your friends are doing at that very moment. I post on Snapchat quite a bit. I post videos and photos of my animals, the food I am eating, the party that I am at, or just funny things that I see around me. I post to Snapchat like five times a day but throughout the day I send random Snapchats to my friends. I love Snapchat so much because you can send an ugly picture to your friends and you can control how long they see it which is cool. I think brands can use Snapchat to market their products but I don't think it is as effective as other social networks just because what they post to their story can only be seen for 24 hours and then it is gone. Kylie Jenner, who recently came out with a makeup like posts to her Snapchat story with some of the new products she is launching in her line. I actually purchased makeup from her makeup line after seeing her post a video of it on Snapchat. My question of the week: What do you think is the most successful social network to market products on?
My favorite social media is definitely Instagram. I use 3 to 5 times everyday to see the new posts of friends, celebrities and news. I love Instagram because it's simple, and I like the idea of using hashtags. Hashtags are used in many social media, but I like that Instagram is all about pictures. I've seen so many ads on Instagram including the ones that don't look like ads. Celebrity endorsements are the main way of marketing brands and products. I follow many celebrities, and they post or repost the brand they are campaigning and supporting. It's easier for the viewers to found out what the brand and product is because of hashtags and comments, so it's a great way of advertising.
Let's see, I have a lot of my go-to social media. I have to say my favorite would have to be Instagram. I go on it daily and probably about ten times a day. During my breaks, I like to go on it to see what my friends in Thailand are doing and what my favorite fashion blogger's outfit is today. I follow a lot of fashion accounts so I'm always on there to see what are the latest trend. I think Instagram is probably the best way for companies. You can add longer videos, easily upload pictures. People are constantly on Instagram which makes it easy for company to reach out to their customers.
Wow! Talk about a tough question. If I had to choose my "desert island" social media, it would probably be Twitter. Looking through the comments, this doesn't seem to be a popular answer, and that kind of surprised me. I'm on Twitter several times a day, probably upwards of ten times. I think it's pretty entertaining, and one of the more casual forms of social media. Having a limited amount of characters keeps the posts brief, and not exhaustive, like Facebook posts can tend to be. Admittedly, I also enjoy internet slang or texting lingo, which is heavily used in the Twitter community. That being said, I think it's great for advertising, or up and coming businesses. Most businesses I go to already have a Twitter, and are actively posting. There are several different features that are relevant and succesful in marketing to consumers, and Twitter as a company is completely aware of this. The brand is doing a great job at expanding and growing their personal business, while also helping other brands to build the exposure as well.
My favorite social network is definitely Instagram. I browse Instagram at least once a day, sometimes more often. I love Instagram because some brands are really doing an excellent job marketing on this platform, which gives me a lot inspiration on how to do social media marketing and PR. I followed brands like Urban Outfitters, Coke, Oreo, Kate Spade and Victoria's Screct for a long time. These brands always share nice pictures containing their products, or sometime not. UO often posts stunning sceneric landscape pictures that seem irrelevant to its products, but actually deliver the unique UO lifestyle. Oreo shars funny and creative pictures that make fun of its cookies. These brands excelled on Instagram never limit themselves in merely marketing products, they more often show the brand spirit, and core values via Instagram posts.
My favorite social media would have to be Pinterest. I check it as least once a day, sometimes multiple times a day. I use it in a lot of different ways - as a graphic designer, I pin art and things that I like and inspire me. As a marketer, Pinterest is a very useful platform for selling things, particularly to women. I often find myself pinning outfits and clothing that I like and usually they come from sites that I can buy the clothing from directly. If a brand is looking to sell their products, it's a great opportunity for them to take aesthetically pleasing photos of their products and pin them on Pinterest. That way consumers (such as myself) will share the products themselves, allowing them to extend their reach organically.
How can one choose just one? However, if we are picking favorites mine would be instagram. Although, snapchat is a close tie. Instagram is my favorite because I think you can truly choose to market yourself through this. We are an image based culture these days and that's the interface that instagram offers. I like to market on my instagram all of my traveling. Although, it may appear one lives a luxurious life they may not because instagram is the best liar. I also enjoy making short instagram videos of big events for example Lollapalooza, my travels in paris, and tailgates. However, I'm not impressed with instagrams latest update, STOP THE STORIES ON INSTAGRAM!!
My favorite social network is Snapchat. I am on it mutliple times per day and use it as a fun way to commuicate with my friends and family. The reason I love Snapchat so much is because of the filters you can put on your pictures. They are always changing, and it is fun to open Snapchat every day to see what new filters are available. Snapchat is a great marketing tool because it is an informal way of showing off your products or showing your company's atmosphere!
My favorite social media would be Instagram. I go on it multiple times per day and I love it because I love pictures. Theres not much to it besides pictures but thats what I like about it. Instagram is a good way for brands to marekt products since they can put a picture of the product, then link it to a website.

My favourite social media is wechat and weibo. These two social media platforms are for the local chinese citizens. Wechat is like text- message, you can send pictures, vocal messages and text messsages to the person who you want to communicate. In additon, you can send your recent pictures in the friend circle. Everyone in your friend list can see it and add a comments. Weibo is something just like facebook. You can add your favourite singers and actors to your friend list, and follow them. It is much more open-minded for everyone. Wechat is much more private.
