These days mobile is the hot topic in marketing hot topic, but like all trends it won't be the biggest growth area forever. There is a lot of speculation about "the next big thing," and the front runner is wearable technology. It makes sense, as wearable technology is very simmilar to mobile... only smaller and more specialized. The popularity of mobile devices can largely be attributed to the increased connectivity and utility they provide. Wearable technology can provide even more connectivity and utility.

You might be asking, what are some examples of mobile technology? The most popular devices would be the fitness bands like Nike's Fuel or the Fitbit. When users wear these devices, they track their activity levels allowing a better understanding of how one lives their life or reach their fitness goals. There's also speculation about Apples next big release being a watch and let's not forget about Google Glass.

How many of you are currently using wearable technology? If so, what are you using? If not, why not? Do you see opportunities for other forms of wearable technology?

I find it very interesting to stuble upon this old post because of how it talks about the trend dying out. This article was from 2013 but is still relivant. I have a Fitbit and wear it regularly. I love having it and do not think it is something that will die out. With the way all of the technology is changing, people are still going to be interested in products like these. They innovate the features on mobile technology to meet people's wants and demands. They have been changing so fast with all of the health and diet crazes. It has not died out yet and I do not see it dying out anytime soon. Mobile technology is the future of technology from what I have experienced. People want features accessible whenever and wherever.

I like wearable technology personally, it is just like sifi! If you can do everything with yahairband, a watch or even a t-shirt, that will be super convienient, especially for disable people! It will be a new way to expand accessibility!

I really do not have any wearable technology.... I think. I feel that I don't because I can really use my phone for almost everything. I have never had a need for something like the Fitbit. I can use my phone and apps to track my fittness and so on. I also think that those things are a bit pricey just to have it do something that your phone can already do.

Student

I think that wearable electronics are the next evolution of mobile technology. In the newest business of mobile payments and mobile technology emerges wearable techonology. Wearable are creating immense opportunities for start up companies wanting develop sales through innovation. Google Glass if it can get by the social issues looks to be the next large step towards wearable technology, and I will fully embrace it when it becomes availale. Smart watches will definitely popular in future for business purpose.

Student

I don't use any wearable technology. I think it's more of a fashion trend than used for practical purposes. How much easier is it to use google glass than it is to look down at your phone. I get how blutooth is practical to use but I read articles on watches, rings, and wristbands and I don't see the practicallity of most items. It's not that I don't think they will ever be practical but with current technology it's just as easy to use a phone for everything that wearable technology attempts to do.

Student

I've never used any of the wearable technology. Personally I think people who are older use it. I've seen a lot of relatives (35 and older) use that type of technology. I think it's a good idea and the devices are actually helpful. Its helpful to see how much you ran or how many calories you burned in a day. I've never really been concerned with it though because I think it would make me think about something that I don't really need to be. I walk/run constantly I'm not too worried to meet a certain quota. I don't really think wearable technology is going to be that big. The people who are concerned with how much they are walking or calories burned will use it, but most won't.

I currently use the Nike+ sportwatch. I consider myself an avid runner and the Nike+ sportwatch allows me to log my runs using Nike+. I can monitor all aspects of my workouts and keep a journal of how far I am running weekly. This one of the only wearable technologies I can see myself using in the near future at least. I know Samsung is preparing the release of the smart watch that in my opinion will be cool, but not likely to be very successful.

Student

When the term wearable technology comes up I automatically think of Google Glass, I think it is a cool concept but I don't like the look of it.  I never really thought of the Nike Fuelband or the Fitbit as wearable technology, just more of fitness tool.  Reading this post makes me realize that they are wearable technology. I have a fitbit and I love it. One reason I don't like the Nike Fuelband and Google Glass is because they are big and bright, really flashy. The fitbit is sleek and only have 4 little lights that shine when you want them too. If they find ways to make wearable technology not so flashy like the fitbit then I would wear and buy them when they come out.

Student

I have never used the wearable technology. But I know some friends who are running lovers using the Nike watch. Now the major popular wearable gadgets are for health and sports, like FitBit and Nike FuelBrand. There are also some wearable gadgets which are designed to replace the role of smartphones, like Samsung Galaxy gear or Sony Smartwatch,The watches can used as basic phones to make calls or text messages or listen to music. But with tiny screen those watches cannot replace the smartphones which can take high-quality pictures, read online pages and social media websites, and playing games. So I'm not too optimistic about the future of such things. Google Glass is a revolutionary idea and I am looking forward it. But I am not sure if it will interfere the normal daily life and if it is wearing comfortable.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about wearable technology, but after looking at the links and seeing what these devices can do, I actually think it’s pretty cool. I don’t currently own any wearable technology because I just haven’t really heard too much about it (therefore don’t have much knowledge about it).  I actually didn’t know that most of these things existed yet. I remember when talk of the Google glasses first started, but I didn’t know that they actually existed yet. I only recently started seeing the commercials (which I really like) for the Apple watch. I guess I just don’t keep up with these things. I also don’t really have that much disposable income to be buying new technologies all the time. I do think that there are opportunities for other forms of wearable technology—I’m just not sure what they are at the moment.  But people are very busy nowadays and I think that it’s a cool idea to make all of these things hands free, giving us the freedom to multitask even more.

Student

I like wearable technology depending on what it is. I think that a lot of them are useful for the circumstances that they are made for. The ipod shuffle that you can just clip on to your running shorts or shirt is very useful when working out. I also think that it also to access these technologies. But the new galaxy watch fun is still open to debate, but we'll see how consumers react to it.

Student

I think the new 'wearable technology' trend is not much more than a gimmick. It doesn't seem all that practical, nor does it seem necessary in a world where we are surrounded by increasingly distracting technology. People are on their phones/ipads/computers so often, why do we need to stretch the scope of this technology even further and wear it? It seems to be simply a fad that is for those who have the money to try something new.

Sumsung has already made the first move to promote the gear works with Note 3

Student

I don't use wearable technology because I just don't feel the purpose or need to. I think with the wearable technology it can potentially lead to obsessing - how many steps have I taken? how many miles have I moved today? how many calories have I burned? how is this in comparison to yesterday? and so on. It could be helpful for mapping out exercise routes and measuring fitness when actually exercising, but if it has the ability to be activated during a normal day, it seems obsessive to me. People could switch their focus from how they feel and look to how much progress they've made and worry about how to do better. Of course there is an opportunity to better your life and become more healthy but it could go negatively as well.

Student

As of right now I do not own any wearable technology. However, I cannot see myself being one of the first or the front runner to go out and buy any technology like the iWatch or Google Glass. I think with wearable technology it has to be even more socially acceptable for people to use it because you can't stuff it in your pocket to hide it, it is always visible. The market for me would have to be very accepting of this technology and I don't see that kind of confidence yet. Within the next five to ten years I can see myself getting a piece of wearable technology.

Student

Currently, I do not use any wearable technology, because I simply believe that the current wearable technology that is diffused is not necessary to me yet. I just do not feel comfortable and required to have the wearable technology yet, so I did not even look at before. However; I agree that the wearable technology is a next big thing and it’s a first runner of the track. The products that have the wearable technology are not popular and people would might feel the same way as me. However; if Samsung, or Apple, or Google’s product which graft with the wearable technology, will be came out, then I would be interested with it. Wearable technology has a potential to be enhanced and developed. There I am very interested with seeing a winner of the next race between those tress big companies.

Student

Like many of my fellow colleagues I too would like to own a wearable technology piece, although currently I do not own one. I believe more so that our generation (Y) has grown up in the booming of technology and have been accustomed to having the newest and smallest thing. I personally do not have a piece of technology like this because I don’t have the money to spend on items similar to what I currently have that is just in a larger form. One day when I have the luxury to spend one in a frivolous way I will treat myself. Personally I think having a Apple watch would be amazing thing for me in the future because I wouldn’t need my phone while running errand or working out. There is no doubt in my mind that this trend of wearable technology will continue. As long as our society continues to grow I believe there will always be a demand for something for convenient and compact. As this contiunes it will grown and expand from generation to generation.

Student

I currently do not have any wearable technology however I think that it will have a huge market ahead of it. I do not use it because I personally, am broke, and do not have any need for it. I have my iPhone and my Macbook and that's pretty much all the technology I need. The watches are a cool concept but for people who are actually into technology and don't mind wearing an ugly, tech-y looking watch. My brother-in-law is a total tech geek and I could totally see him wanting one because he is into the latest and greatest in technology and if it will improve or make his life easier- he's all over it. Wearable technology is cool- but for the right people. I definitely see opportunities for this type of technology but I suggest they make it better looking if they are going to reach a different kind of target market.

Student

Despite my reluctance to admit it, I do believe there will be a huge market for wearable technology. I don't currently use any, however I have tried Google Glass in one of my journalism classes. I struggle to see any applications for it in journalism. You can't interview people with it, because it's far too shaky to utilize its video, the pictures aren't high enough quality (always use SLR), and in addition to that, I couldn't use it because it wouldn't fit over my perscription glasses. It's extremely interesting technology, but right now it's not refined enough to be especially useful, however I do believe that will change.

Student

So far, I have not used any wearable technology device yet, just because there is nothing on the market which I find really appealing for me personally. However, I am really looking forward to what the future holds in this project category and the additional benefit these products offer over mobile devices.

Looking at the Google Glasses for instance, its ability to implement features like augmented reality will be more than interesting, showing abilities to change the way advertising is exposed, to make video games even more realistic, and to offer a new age of navigation. So I am convinced that wearable technology is likely to be the next hot topic, replacing the mobile devices of today!

Student

Currently I do not use any type of wearable technology.  I would love to have a phone in the shape of a watch or glasses but until the price comes down, a pocket and regular phone will work just fine.  I personally think that wearable technology is the way of the future and it's the path that media is forcing us towards.  How many times have we seen phones in watches or shoes in spy movies and wanted one? It's every little kids dream.  Well know those little kids are adults and making the product themselves.  The Jetson's may have been intended to be the early 2000's but at this rate, we will get there eventually.  Once the price comes down I see a lot of people investing in wearable technology.  We just have to give it a little time and a little less money.

Student

So this is an interesting topic for me, as I might be slightly biased. I worked for Nike Inc. For a year, and specialized in working with Fuel Bands/ Nike Plus software. When the Nike Fuel Band came out, it was first released on pre-order, and it sold out in 20 minutes. When the Fuel Band was released into stores a max of 100 could be sold each day, all bands would be gone within 2 hours of opening. Where am I going with this? Basically, the demand for portable/mobile fitness tools is there, and people are always looking for an "easier" way to stay in shape. Combine that with the pretty accurate/reliable software that is being used, and the Fuel Band is a win-win. Not only that, but Nike had plenty of competitors in the market, brands like FitBit, and JawBone market similiar products. Personally I wear a Fuel Band, I think it is superior to the others but that comes with a price. As far as expanding ideas on wearable technology, I think Nike is already reaching into other categories of equipment. They market a heart monitor thats accurate, and also a GPS watch paired with TomTom that measures location, time and steps.

Although I currently do not use wearable technology, I have been wanting to get a Polar heart rate monitor watch. I am big into health and running, and I know many people who use this piece of technology and absolutely love it. It tracks your heart rate and also tells you how many calories you burn throughout your day, or during a workout. I use apps on my phone that tell me how many calories I am supposed to burn during runs, but I do not think it is very accurate. I think that by getting a Polar heart rate monitor watch, I will have a better view of my body and how I burn calories. As for other forms of wearable technology, I think that there are endless possibilites. Companies like Apple and Google are always on top of current trends, and I think that anything they release will become popular, at least for a certain amount of time. I also think that since people are so big into mobile technology, any wearable device would be used so people can use it on the go.

I tried nike fuel. it is interesting but I didn't expect more than it. it is more like a toy

Student

I, for one, do not like to wear any "wearable technology." I feel there are legitimate concerns regarding privacy and safety due to the inherent ability to track those wearing these types of technology. That being said, I also carry my very traceable iPhone everywhere with me! I think we are just seeing the birth of wearable technology, particularly Google Glass. I predict this will be a market that swells to epic proportions as this technology becomes more accessible.

Student

I think this new wearable technology is really cool for many different reasons. They can make computers and chips so small that they can be put into literally anything. I am more intrigued by the technology itself rather than the social aspect of the new devices. For me personally, I do not want to share my fitness goals to others every time I go to the gym or for a run. I would like that the technology tracks it for me so I can use the information for personal use but that is about all. Therefore I do see future opportunities in the wearable technologies market but I don’t believe it is a very large market. I am interested to see what comes out in the next couple of years. Maybe there will be something that tailors to my liking and I will participate in the new fad.

Student

I do not own any wearable technology and I do not know any of my friends or family that also own wearable technology. I think it is a great new idea of technology, but I do not believe it is "the next big thing." I think it will be popular among a good amount of people, but I do not believe it will replace what is already out there in the market. I would be interested in using wearable technology, but I am not a very active person so I'm not inclined to go out and buy this new technology. I feel wearable technology is for runners and personally I do not have the interest for running right now, but hope to develop it down the road. I just do not see wearable technology as the next big thing, but that's just my opinion.

Student

I am not currently a user of wearable tech, and personally I believe I'll stay that way. To me it feels like much more of a novelty item, I don't like the idea of being more connected with the internet than I am physically present. It's very hard to see people so engrained in their tech that true human action becomes secondary, and wearable tech would lead to a expansion of that. There are plenty of opportunities in the sector, but I don't think that its the future. Even with the new samsung watch that's coming out, I've heard people only say that they wouldn't even consider getting it. I would prefer something that makes life easier without taking us away from the day to day.

Student

Wearable technology is definitely the way the technology world is turning. All the things that seemed so magical and futuristic in movies are coming to life. Personally, I wear a fitness band called UP by Jawbone.  I love wearing it. It provides me with a goal of taking 10,000 steps a day and getting 8 hours of sleep a night. I wear it on my left wrist and it feels like nothing less than wearing a bracelet. I plug it into the audio jack on my phone a few times a day to update it on the app it works with. The device is so practical and current. It keeps up with the fast past technology, fitness enthused lives people are living today. Wearable technology to me can be very practical, however, I think it has to follow trends of fashion, in addition to technology. Google Glass, as incredible of a product it is, I think it doesn’t appeal to the fashion concerned market. This market is a huge deal, as it is the trendsetters in today’s world. Personally, I would never wear the Google Glass, because I think it looks absolutely ridiculous. Wearing technology and wearing technology fashionably go hand and hand.  The market today is very open for other forms of wearable technology. I think a large market could appear within the next decade including digital sunglasses, shoes, necklaces and more.

Student

I don't currently own any form of wearable technology, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't give it a try. I personally think that the idea of wearable technology is definitely not fully attainable yet, but with products like Nike's Fuel & Fitbit, we are off to a good start. I think having something like Google glass would be very overwhelming at first, given all of that information is right in your face all of the time. There needs to be a lengthy integration process for wearable technology to even be successful in today's market. However, I do like the idea of something that is wearable because it is very easy to track day-to-day activities, even for something like working out. It is great to have a database that logs a person's events throughout the day for further reference.

Student

I think that it could be a really cool thing to have wearable technology. I use Nike+ running to track all of my miles and how all of my runs have gone, kind of like a blog. I think that it is a totally smart idea! Some things, like all get a bit carried away for sure, but so many people are on the move these days and it is the smartest thing they have come up with! I remember when I used to run cross country and training and would have to write down all of my miles or track how far and what not for each day and keep it all in a binder, but now I have it all on my computer, phone and anything else I can get wifi on! I think it is such a good idea! I would love to try other forms of wearable technology, but I am sure the cost would not be my friend haha.

Student

Personally I do not have any wearable technology that I actively use. I do have the Nike Running shoes that can connect with a smartphone app to track your routes and milege but I do not even use that.  The new galaxy watch technology is pretty impressive-but for $400 I dont think I will be getting it anytime soon. The hands-free aspect is the best part-but how often are you going to be carrying grocercies and have to answer the phone? I'm sure Grandma will still love you in 5 minutes.  Google glasses, obviously are impressive but when are they going to be affordable to me? I'll answer that......when i'm worried about my 401k.  Fingers crossed it is sooner though!  If a company could include the watch and phone together for one price I think they would sell better.

Student

I have never used any wearable technology. I have heard lot about Nike's Fuel and have seen some friends use it while they do their fitness work. With the new technological innovations I see lot of opportunities for different companies competing on technolodgy platform in near future. Although, every new technolodgy that comes out in market takes time to take-off in public interest Google Glass might face hardtime at first to convence people to use its new gadget. I have heard some conversation on NPR about Google Glass. Many people think about google glass as creepy gadget while some do find it very interesting. Howeever, as we have seen in all markets new technolodgy will become norm rapidly as it comes out.

Student

Mobile technology is incredible! The nike fuel bands are phenomenal! They do just about everything, that is until the new watch of the future comes out. Steve Jobs wrote in one of his books that there will be a watch of a future. It is a watch that will do everything, especially medically. This watch can read blood pressure, pulse and other things that would be measured at a check-up with your doctor. It will take the measurements and send them to your doctor no matter where you are allowing the doc to check up at any time.  This will surely change society and daily lives.

Student

I don't have any wearable technology now, but I see people on my Tweeter has purchased Nike's Fuel. I have Nike running and training apps on my phone so I don't feel I need it. Secondly, I don't have to spend extra money to purchase one thing has similar features with the free apps, even it's more convenient. I guess this is the reason why I am not using wearable technology. Personally I'm pretty interest in Google Glass because it's cool and provide us a different brand new technology experience. I think if wearable technology become trendy in market like Apple's product today, it will be a great success.

Student

I am currently not using wearable technology, nor do I personally know of anyone currently using wearable technology. I haven't ventured over into the wearabe technology era yet. I'm still using my good, old reliable cellphone. As far wearable technology goes, I believe that this wave of gadgets like the Google Glass, Samsung Galaxy Gear, and Nike Fuel wristband are only the first tidal of wave further generations to pour into the market. The technology is fairly new and still has a few bugs along with selling points and pricetags to adjust with further releases. That being said, I'd like to wait a good year or two before I dive in the wearable technology division as I'd like to wait to see if there is any release for other similar products that are offered by competing companies. There is definitely an opportunity for a massively-expansive future where we are only receiving a mere glimpse at the beginning of a brand new technologic era.

Student

I currently don't have wearable technology but I'm not opposed to it. I think the Apple iWatch would be cool to use in addition to your cell phone. You could keep your phone in your purse or backpack and only take it out if you get a notification on your watch. I honestly think it would really help me focus in class or work because I could use it for only texts and calls so I wouldn't get distracted using twitter or facebook. I think it would be cool if the Nike Fuelband had s stop watch or could play music. That would be perfect for working out.

Student

I could not believe what I was watching on CNN as they were talking about google glass when it was released. Glasses listening to instructions, taking pictures and photos, I just could not understand it and up to this day I still don’t understand how it works.

Technology analysts assume that wearable technologies could be the next biggest thing of the world. I personally have not used any wearable technology due to access and affordability factors. I am yet to see these wearable technological gadgets such as google glass. But to me the idea is noble. I really like it, given access to these wearable technologies I would love to try one, especially the google glass. Actually I have been asking myself when I experience bad weather, why are these technologies innovators failing to come up with wearable technologies that can save us from bad weather. For example, when it’s very hot it, there should be a technological hat that you can control temperatures to keep yourself cool or to manufacture clothes with a temperature controllable devices so that when it’s cold we can keep ourselves warm. Anything is possible, we cannot doubt the feasibility of such technologies. I would love to see a world with wearable technologies that are environmentally friendly of course, to reduce global warming.  The fact about these technologies is that they make our lives easier, so anything that makes our lives easier should be welcomed.

Student

I actually love the fact that wearable technology is becoming bigger. I was an early adopter of the Nike Fuelband and have nothing but good things to say about it. I have been waiting for Nike to release a version that has an open interface so there could be more application use for it as it is stricly Nike related. The problem with wearable technology at the moment is it is restricted by the size of the device. With the Nike Fuelband 2.0, there will be a smaller but better battery that allows them to add in new features like a heartrate monitor. Once they can integrate more and more into these devices, I think they may surpass smartphones as the norm of what to buy.

Student

I'm not impressed. Technology has not come far enough for these products to be truly appealing.  If you have the money for these items to be only used on occasion, I would suggest them. Otherwise, they're expensive, barely convenient technologies.

Student

I am not currently a user of wearable technology, and I cannot say for certain that I will not in the future, but for the time being I am not a fan. Products such as Nike's Fuel and Fitbit are one thing, but Google Glass and the possible iWatch from Apple are on an entirely different level. The former are made for practical uses such as health and fitness, whereas the later are extravagant and quite honestly seem to be made for the lazy. With that said, I do believe that these products will be successful, even I do not approve. Sony just recently released the Smartwatch, indicating that the trend has already taken root. I predict that there will be more wearable technology products like this very soon.

Student

I am not currently using wearable technology, though I am aware of it.  I guess as of right now I do not see the need for wearable technology.  I just recently purchased the 5s Iphone and that has been my first upgrade since when the Iphone 4 came out.  As you can see I am a little slow on the technology updates.  I do see how something like the Nike Fuel could be convenient.  It is a more efficient way to keep track of your exercise.  As many new technology updates come out, I am sure more and more people will start to use wearable technology.

Student

I'm actually not using any type of wearable technology. I feel like the cost of these things are way too high for my price range and are still in a stage where there is still a lot of room to grow so I think I'll wait a few years until I hop on the bandwagon. But I do see them being really awesome in the future. Things like Google Glass can just be a pair of normal looking glasses and watches that can monitor our immune systems are commonplace. I could even see something like a "life watch" where it controls various items like television, radio, phone, and computers. The possibilities are endless.

Student

This post is very interesting in the fact that it gets you thinking about what might actually be the next big thing in technology. Wearable technology sounds really cool and interesting and does really sound like a realistic next step for technology. Personally I think it will become a very popular trend in technology in the future, for people who really like their technology and use it for literally everything they do in life. Some of my friends now currently have some form of portable technology like the Nike fit example talked about above, like those wrist bands that track and measure excersize throughout the day and what not. Althought I think that stuff is cool I have not made the transition into that sort of trend. When it comes to the technology I dont like to be around it all day all the time. Although i cant say i dont already take my phone everywhere with me, but I can say the days i dont have my phone with me all day are nice becuase its a nice change of pace to not be so connected all the time. However from past experience I usually end up conforming to the latest trends, so i really cant say what i will do in the future, only speculate.

Student

My perspective on wearable technology has changed a lot recently. I discovered the Fitbit Flex about a month ago when I asked for it for my birthday, and after a few days of receiving it and now wearing it I have become quite fascinated and obsessed with the technology of the device. I think it's a great app for monitoring fitness and health, and the convenience of having the little system tracking everything on my smartphone wirelessly is amazing compared to what we had only a few years ago in terms of health management. Lately I've also observed the release of Samsung Galaxy (I think?) of the watch that doubles as a smart phone too. It receives some phone calls and allows you to read your texts on your watch among other applications without actually having to check your physical phone. I think this type of wearable technology is a little foolish/redundant, as it's not that difficult to pull your phone out of your pocket and seems somewhat absurd to have both devices. In my opinion, I think they should either just have the watch as their smart phone device, or the phone itself. Either way, I think wearable technology has made some great improvements to the lives of the users, especially with the fitness and health apps made available now per my new Fitbit. I look forward to seeing what else becomes available on the markets several years from now as well.

Student

I am personally not engaged in wearable technology yet.  The reason being, is hat I have not yet developd the need.  Whenever it comes to new technology I have always been a late adapter; trust me my friends will tell you even worse.  That being said, I do see the benefit of something such as the Nike Fuel band.  It is an easier and more effiicient way to track your workout and can help you keep on track toward your goals that you have set forth for yourself.  I guess I just personally havn't developed that need yet and it would be more of a want.  Being on a tight college student budget, a pass to the IM facilities is all I'm really interested in at this time to keep me in the condition that I desire.  Post-college, however, I do think it will be more difficult to attend the gym as regularly as I do not and have an aid to help me would be much more useful at that time.

Student

I don't use wearable technology. I learned all about Google Glass last year and that looked awesome. A head mounted display of a computer would be awesome to be able to use. I see this product being far over priced for the first 5 years and will probably loose popularity because it will make people lazy. I see oppotunities of wearable technology such as Under Armours developing wearable shirts that measure your workout. Those look really interesting and something i would definetely like to try out.

Student

Wearable technology is a technology that I believe will grow in the future. Many people, myself included, used wearable technology like the Nike Fuel band. I think that it is very useful and allows people to track their exercise without having to pull an app up on their phone. Google Glass, however, seems like it will quickly fade. Many people do not wear watches, and if they do it is for cosmetic reasons. I do not think that people will be interested in learning about a smart “watch” when a good amount of people rely on their smartphones to tell time and have lost to ability to read watches. I think that this is something that will come up again in the future, but it will not be in the form of a watch.

Student

I heard about the wearable techology but I have never try one before. There is a growing trend of wearable technology recently, some large companies such as Samsung, Nike, Google have created high-technology products that are wearable and some have the same functions as mobile pnones. As far as I know, these products mainly focus on fitness, they can count how many steps you have walked per day. The reason why i don't want buy such products because my smart phone has these functions as well. Why should I cost more money to buy the product has the same functions as my smart phone?

The only wearable tech I own is a wrist watch and a pair of DNA headphones. I see lots of opportunities for wearable technology. Take smart watches for example. Smart watches are a bit new, but could be capable of revolutionizing the market for wrist watches and other smart tech devices.
