     I’ve never been blogging before until now, although I’ve been encouraged to do so by my older brother for quite some time.  Needless to say, it’s very exciting to finally be on board.  I thoroughly enjoy writing, especially expressing my thoughts and feelings through words, and now that I’ve created a blog on something I am passionate about, I can now force myself to find the time to make thought-provoking writing happen on a regular basis.  I’ve learned that there is so much more you can do, not to

I've always been interested in starting up my own blog. I'm a blog visiter, reader, and searcher, but I've never really known the credientials of what it takes to start one. I've always been hesitant...how do I start? How do I engage people? So, I've found the following points from Scott's chapter, "Blogs: Tapping Millions of Evangelists to Tell Your Story"  to be the most important:

Below are the five most important points that I took away from reading this section.

The web has become the go-to place Build portfolios, relationships, and credibility.  It is utilized as a resource to Learn new facts and information.  Companies becoming part of the Online world helps their businesses grow more than they ever knew possible.  The internet has presented itself as the new definition of a place to Gather through the use of social networks.
